We spent almost two weeks in Villa Vivi and we immediately felt at home. Viviane is very welcoming, and the neighbors are friendly, too. The house is in a hidden spot, surrounded by a beautiful garden, and has a big outdoor terrace. Its central location makes it a great base to explore the beautiful island and offers great hiking possibilities. Thank you, Viviane, for hosting us!

The road to the property was hard to find. Eventually we went up and down it looking for the property. We called several times to the local provider and our calls went to voice mail. We never saw the property as we were told later by text that the property was under renovation and not available for use and that they had no reservation for us from BOOKING.COM. It was now nearly dark. A Local Man called on his cell and was able to talk to the Manager. We were told to wait 10 minutes and the manager would come to us. Later by text were told that the manager/owner had no notice of our booking. We asked if there was an alternative. None came quickly. It was almost dark and we were miles from help. We drove in the dark on A4 to Fort de France (some 20 k) where we knew someone who might be able to help us find a room for the night. Every hotel was full on all known methods of finding a room. We were determined to sleep in the car. Finally at 10 PM a restaurant manager found us a tiny room in a hotel, beacuse a man had checked out at the last minute. The help of strangers!
This episode is not what one needs in a foreign land while on vacation. This is not in any way a positive adventure. My wife was quite distraght. I looked dumbfounded.
I expect a full refund and some compensation for this horrible event.
