Haus Gutenberg, hotel in Triesenberg

Haus Gutenberg is located in Balzers, within 30 km of UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona and 37 km of Ski Iltios - Horren.

Our stay in Balzers was a delightful experience, and this property turned out to be an excellent choice. While we were initially a bit apprehensive about the self-check-in process, as this is the system on weekends, it was surprisingly smooth and hassle-free. Clear instructions were provided in advance, and the keys were easy to locate, which made settling in stress-free. Location: The location of this property is simply fantastic. Nestled at the base of a historic castle, it offers a picturesque setting that feels straight out of a storybook. A charming vineyard lies adjacent to the property, adding to the serene ambiance, and the nearby village church enhances the old-world charm. Staying in Balzers provided us with a peaceful, authentic experience, a wonderful alternative to the more crowded and far pricier accommodations in Vaduz, the capital. Parking and Accessibility: Another highlight was the convenient parking. We could park our car right next to the door, which made unloading luggage a breeze—especially helpful after a day of travel. Value for Money: Compared to accommodations in Vaduz, this property offers excellent value without compromising on quality or location. That said, travelers coming from Italy, like us, should be prepared for the higher costs of staying and dining in Liechtenstein, which align more closely with Swiss pricing. Overall Impression: This property in Balzers is a gem. Its picturesque location, seamless self-check-in, and proximity to the castle and vineyards make it a unique and memorable place to stay. For those looking to experience the charm of Liechtenstein without the hefty price tag of Vaduz, this is a perfect choice. Highly recommended for travelers seeking both convenience and character.

Every lace I went, was incredibly wonderful, hiking is incredible, views are amazing. All towns' people are the greatest. Many activities to do, and a lot more that will surprise your visit. I could live there forever. A place that is incredibly friendly and helpful. You will truly enjoy your time there. Restaurants are basically the best zi have ever had. I truly had the time of my life and stay.

not suitable for travelling with young kids.

not suitable for travelling with young kids. If you want to walk around with your kid you have to be extra alert since there is not enough safety bards in the pedestrian roadway. I would not recommend this place to parents of young kids. don't waste your money.

The location is very good with excellent view of mountains. One should try to reach the premises before it gets dark for convenient collection of the key to enter the apartment. It does get a little difficult once it is dark.

It is a very nice and quiet commune on the mountain.

It is a very nice and quiet commune on the mountain. You can easily reach it via Triesen or also through another link road via Vaduz Castle. There are some restaurants in the town but they all close down soon by 9 or 10 PM. Vaduz town is easily reachable in 10min and you get a very nice sunset and view of the valley including small Swiss towns from Triesenberg. Dont miss to drive up the mountain and visit a small but beautiful Lake Steg. Also there are many treks possible.

The area itself doesn't have much but the locals are extremely nice. Because our place is in the area, we were unfortunate to have time to spend in the area. Every store we went people were very kind and helpful, we even get free stuff from the local! What I liked about is personally it the experiences we have had with the local here. We did try one restaurant but the food is not that special, what you should ask for is the beer from local brewery. Another great activity is to just walk out and sight see the geographic scene. Since Triesenberg is high up, you will be able to catch many breath taking scenario!

We arrived here in the middle of a rainy night. Even though it was after their working hours and they had arranged for our keys, someone was available to answer our questions and make us feel warm and welcomed from our tiring driving. As described in the previous reviews (because of which i had chosen this hotel), the view from the breakfast room is exceptional and completely as described. Breakfast was good, staff was warm and friendly and even catered to my special tea needs. Parking is free on the premises and lots of spaces available.

The views were amazing. The house was very clean and close to the centre of Triesenberg, to a small supermarket and restaurants. The hosts were very nice: the coffee machine did not work and they replaced it immediately.

Very nice area with good communication both to the city and mountain. Kitchen was really good. And the people working at the shop down at the Triesenberg post grocery store were really helpful.
