Such a warm and friendly welcome from the hosts. This is a great place to stay, the chalets are clean and comfortable. The location is good for places to visit, ten minutes from the beach and plenty of fish restaurants. Our host,a professional chef, made us delicious authentic Korean food while we were there. I would highly recommend a stay here. The location is beautiful and peaceful.
Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Jinrae Lee's Traditional House offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

This is a very great opportunity to stay in a proper hanok house and experience it. The locations is beautiful and peaceful, the owner is the most approachable and friendly owner we've ever experienced. The house is very comfortable and we had one of our best rest during the trip.

I travelled from Seoul to Boseong specifically to visit the green tea fields. While the journey from Gwangju to Boseong took longer than expected, I still had ample time at the green tea fields (approx 3hrs). I then travelled some distance to stay off the beaten path at the Traditional Korean House (on a private green tea plantation). Day 2, I returned to Seoul via Train from Boseong to Gwangju and KTX from Gwangju to Seoul. A great weekend away. And if I'd caught an earlier train Saturday morning, I would have added a a visit to the sea. Overall, well worth it.

If you don't have car it may be difficult, so don't take too much luggage ! The bus is working well ! We went during winter season so there're not too much things open...but we still can find some restaurants.
