The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

Beautiful hotel and I think the nicest is Lamu town. Beautiful pool in a central courtyard. Restaurant was relaxed and plentiful servings with included breakfast. Staff very friendly and I appreciated the glass water bottles, and sustainable use of reusable shampoos in glass bottles.

Amazing place to stay. You feel at home with the personal care they do. Breakfast is good esp the Swahili breakfast. Great views during dining and terrace is amazing for sunrise. Will definitely visit again.

Great place with no other than pedestrians and donkeys. Lovely locals and not to many visitors. A day spended out on sea, for fishing and snorkeling ia a must, fishermans are just the Kings!!
