Food was very good

This felt like an authentic Japanese Ryokan experience! The building was old with big wood beams, a lovely hearth, next to the river. (A very historical feel to it). My room was huge (because I was a solo traveler and had to pay for 2 people to get myself a room). It was nice to just sit and look out over the river. The hot springs bath was very nice and there was an excellent outdoor bath by the river (I wish I could have seen things/ enjoyed the view, but I didn't have my glasses with me.) Dinning/Supper was an amazing excellent experience. You have to go to your private dining room across the river which you get to by crossing a vine suspension bridge. Part of the meal is cooked on your own personal charcoal hearth which is an enjoyable experience. The rest of the food was very good too. Breakfast was good too but not as elaborate as supper. I saw a lot of couples there so I think it would be a wonderful place for a couple's trip or romantic get away.

Onsens are great, also , surprised by so many things to use in the bathrooms 😂 great variety of skin care is offered. Comfortable futons and rooms. Great food.
