The onsens are amazing. The staff were outstanding. It’s also close to a small national park that you can explore across the bridge. It was such a beautiful place to rest and recharge. The room I stayed in had an incredible ocean view. And make sure you get a shiatsu massage in your room!

The location is perfect for Matsushima Bay, directly downtown and less than a 15 minute walk from everything you would want to see. Nakamura-San has fantastic recommendations and is extremely hospitable, and speaks fluent English.
