Staying here was supposed to be an overnight stop on a two day bike ride of the Shimanami Kaido. Rain forced us to cancel the ride but we couldn't cancel our reservation. Getting there by bus with all of our bags took some effort but I thought staying in the yurt type tent would be a cool experience. It was pretty cool but I think it would have been more fun if we could have ridden our bikes there. The third bed was a blowup kind of thing that wasn't comfortable so my adult daughter and I shared a bed and that worked out fine.
The staff was great, especially working with them before I got to Japan to plan the bike delivery, luggage transfer and bike pickup. All that planning was for naught, as the rain canceled those plans. I was impressed with their quick and thorough replies to all my pre-trip questions.
The shuttle service was nice and they accommodated picking us up early from the dinner place we went to, which wasn't that great.
They also shuttled us to an Onsen before dinner that was very nice.

The hotel had a lovely aesthetic with a bicycle parking facility inside the hotel at the lobby. The rooms and bathroom were clean and well maintained and provided amenities. Would definitely stay again! Even though it was a contactless check in /hotel, they had information everywhere that was easy to understand and were available to contact if needed.

We got breakfast for just 700 JPY although we haven’t booked it in advance.
They cleaned the bath and made us a new bath for just us using it as family bath.
We had dinner at the restaurant included in the property and could even do karaoke to entertain our kids while waiting for the food to be prepared

It was clean. It had a great view. Although the building is old and you might feel that something might be out of place, the authenticity of the building makes you forget the minor details.

Authentic vacation stay, amazing food, and extremely nice host. Everything was amazing she was nice and was very accommodating. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a real home cooked meal and a rest stop during the shimanami kaido.
