Breakfast excellent. Booking.com should tell customers that there is more than one best western hotel in Verona. We initially went to the wrong one.Very stressful. Then we were misdirected to the bus stop by one of the staff and ended in an industrial estate.

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalised in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.
Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.
Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheatre which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theatre whose remains are partly beneath a house.
The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which offer cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laidback and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.
Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.
Loved going to the Arena to watch ‘Carmen, the Opera.

Verona is very compact with an abundance of restaurants and good shops. The main Piazza with the arena is impressive. There are plenty of interesting venues to visit and the city bus services are excellent. Verona is well placed to allow visits to other places including Venice and Lake Garda which be easily reached using the very good train system which is cheap and efficient.

Verona is a small city 260,000 that offers an old town full of rich architecture a stroll along the river a roman arena it's charming and bit hordes of tourists like some of the other hotspots we went to like Venezia and Roma. Food was great everywhere. More importantly I would gladly return to explore more. We took a side trip to Lage Garda which was also nice.

We booked a night in Verona as a stopover to rest before heading to the dolomites the following day. Had I known how beautiful Verona was I would have liked at least 1 more day. We arrived mid-late afternoon and were able to walk to the Roman Arena and to Juliet's balcony as well as wander the various streets and do some shopping. The Piazza Delle Erbe is a beautiful square and worth exploring.
Lovely hotel, walking distance from the train station and the city centre. The room was better than expected. Large comfortable bed, clean and spacious bathroom. We even had a view of the river. The aircon was great. Breakfast was included and I must say that it was one of the best breakfasts we had in Italy. Fantastic spread! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Verona.
Staff were not just only nice but really try to solve your problem to provide you with the most comfortable stay whether it's about parking, finding a nice restaurant or late check-in. The location cannot be better and room is luxurious enough considering it's not Milan. Price is also competitive if you compare the prices with equivalent level of hotels in other cities in Italy.
On our trip through Italy we spent a night at this hotel. It is near the city center. After a 20 minute walk you can see the beautiful old town. In front of the hotel is a street with free parking. The alternative is a parking garage (10 € per day). The breakfast was really great and there was even a free gym.
We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much. 🤗
Lovely hotel with bags of character - a genuinely characterful and unique property in Verona, surely the most authentic, romantic and intriguing property available at this level of quality. A true boutique. We had a glorious couple of nights here on our honeymoon. The service was exceptional and we were upgraded with a beautiful cake in our room on arrival.
Nice hotel. Arrived late due to 2 hour delay at airport. Phoned emergency number. No issues gaining access. Norman on reception was extremely helpful with an issue we encountered and tried his utmost to resolve. He alone deserves 5 stars..,
