FAQs about hotels in Naples

Vibrancy, Vespas, Vesuvius

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.

At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.

While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!

Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.

As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

Really great city, with a ton of history.

Really great city, with a ton of history. Yes, it's a bit dirty, noise, and there is a ton of traffic, but the food is amazing. The people were all pleasant and there is a ton to do! We were able to use the city as a base and explore the islands, and other cities in the are. 3-4 days just in Naples is a good amount of time to explore.

Naples has a very different character to nearby Rome.

Naples has a very different character to nearby Rome. It feels earthier, grittier... and more fun. It reminds me of Athens with the graffiti, litter and derelict buildings but it has the same beauty hiding away in its museums, churches and historical sites. The Archaeological Museum was a highlight, and the pizza in Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba is worth seeking out. The people we met had a dry, wary manner that hides big hearts and a mischievous sense of humour. If you're willing to be patient, keep your wits about you and offer a smile and respect, you'll get it back tenfold. I'll definitely be back.

It’s a city where people live, so not all of it is “pretty”, but it’s busy and full of wonderful cafes and restaurants. Ideally sightseeing as there’s a city tour bus with regular stops, buses to Herculaneum and Vesuvius, and the train station and underground are a great hub if you plan to visit other places as well. Plenty churches, castles/forts and museums are within walking distance.

I loved the placed I stayed in...

I loved the placed I stayed in...Palazzo Doria D'Angri, I loved to dine at Bianco Mangiare, where the food is well cooked and the service and quality of the food and wine are amazing with reasonable prices. Naples is a very dirty city, you will see garbage anywhere, even trash cans are full and garbage around them thrown away....way too much graffiti, chaotic city, where scooter drivers don't respect pedestrian streets and if you are not alert they can easily run over you or hit you, avoid having a car as there are no places inside the old town to park, you don't feel that safe at night on the streets and they keep loving Maradona the soccer player that died because of drug addiction which by the way believed started while at Napoli...definietely not a city I will return...the north part of italy is much more nicer and clean

Exceptional Stay in the Heart of Naples!

Exceptional Stay in the Heart of Naples! I recently had the pleasure of staying in Naples Luxury Marina Apartments with Demitri during our visit to Naples, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and the attention to detail that made our stay truly memorable. Location: The location is absolutely perfect for anyone wanting to explore the vibrant city of Naples. It’s situated in the heart of the historic district, just a short walk from major attractions like the Naples National Archaeological Museum and Spaccanapoli. Being so close to the metro station also made it incredibly easy to get around. Rooms: The rooms are beautifully decorated, blending modern comforts with traditional Neapolitan charm. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and offered a stunning view of the bustling streets below. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring. The bathroom was well-equipped with high-quality toiletries and plush towels, adding a touch of luxury to the experience. Service: The service was outstanding. Demetri was friendly and went out of his way to ensure that I had everything I needed. Amenities: The amenities were top-notch, including fast Wi-Fi, there was also a cozy lounge area that provided a great place to relax after a long day. Value for Money: Given the location, the quality of the accommodations, and the level of service, I found the accomodation to be excellent value for money. It’s a hidden gem in Naples that offers a boutique experience without the hefty price tag. Overall: I can’t recommend the accomodation highly enough. Whether you’re in Naples for a short visit or a longer stay, this place offers everything you could want in a home away from home. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Excellent accommodation with friendly, helpful staff. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location is great with easy access to Napoli centrale station and metro. Plenty of food options nearby. We read plenty of previous reviews about the bad neighbourhood but this was just a typical Naples area (maybe guests had only experienced other parts of Italy previously) - the accommodation is secure in a private building on a main street which is well lit and plenty of people around.

Having stayed here on our first night in Italy, we were delighted to be able to return two weeks later for our last night! Having spent a day exploring Naples, we grabbed food from a local restaurant and were able to relax. The next morning it was a few minute drive to the car hire to return our car then hop on the shuttle bus to the airport. The apartment was perfectly placed for our needs and helped make the journey home pleasant.

The place is really cool! The location is close to the port, what was super convenient for me. That was quiet enough in the evening, without noise/music from the street or neighbours. The staff is polite, friendly, unobtrusive, careful. Despite the fact that the trip was working, I fell in love with Italy and the hotel and its staff clearly contributed to my impression.
