Cremona is full of history, ha many renaissance buildings and history and yet is empty of tourists, even Italian ones. It is a relaxed’ friendly place and less expensive than other cities in the region.

Cremona is a great small city. Very compact and walkable.
Cremona is a great small city. Very compact and walkable. The central square is especially lovely at night with the cathedral beautifully lit up. In the warmer weather the square comes alive after dark, packed with people eating and drinking in the outside bars and restaurants.
The violin museum is interesting and worth a visit. And the Piazza Stradivari with the statue of the famous violin maker is another must do.
Some very good restaurants. We especially liked the Indian Punjab grill and bar restaurant. Great atmosphere , helpful and friendly staff and most important, the food is of very good quality and beautifully presented.
On our second night we ate at Tacabanda. Very good food, nice owner but a bit pricey and without the same ambiance. And a good 15 min. walk from city centre

Beautiful old and accessible Italian City. So much to see.
Beautiful old and accessible Italian City. So much to see. Recommend picking up a Cremona map from tourist information which includes three walking tours / itineries - Musical Tour, Ancient City Tour, New (C16th) City Tour. Also recommended - go into the Town Hall for exhibits, and views over the Piazza to the cathedral and baptistry. The Violin museum is interesting.

Cremona is a fascinating destination, its history is revealed on every corner you walk about. The Cremona cathedral that dates back to the 12th century, the baptistry, and the bell tower are a must visit. You may not want to miss of course the Museo del Violino where you can trace back the history of violin making as it developed in Cremona. If you're hungry for great pizza, go to La Pendola and if for great seafood, Pesciolini Innamorati. In short, you'll want to comeback there many times.

We stayed at B&B Hotel Cremona for only one night, but everything met our expectations. The room was clean and spacious and had all the necessary amenities. And I have to say the breakfast was superb, definitely one of the better ones we've had when traveling - a nice variety of everything and even some gluten-free and vegan options. We also really appreciated the option to use private parking (for a 6€/night).
The accommodation was in the center of Cremona - so supermarket, restaurants, café, bank, markets and shops were less than 5mins walk. Very convenient location. The Cremona train station/bus stop was about 15mins walk from the accommodation. The accommodation had all the utilities we need. It was small but very cozy. Great communication with the host Mariagrazia. Overall experience was phenomenal.
Lovely flat, clean and with all you need for a short stay. There's a grocery shop 5 minutes away and the centre of Cremona is a 15/20 minutes' walk away. It is in a quiet residential area away from the main street. The owner was very kind offering us a lift from and to the station and giving us lots of information on the town and what to visit.
Amazing property in a historical Palazzo, close to historic town centre, spacious rooms and all the amenities you need to have a fantastic stay, and a great lovely host ! Hope to stay here again next time in Cremona,
Perfect location right in the city centre of Cremona, the apartment was top class, nice furniture, well equipped
and spotless clean. Good value for money. Easy to communicate with the property owner
