The location close to the Jokulsarloon lagoon. The restaurant on site is very good. All the staff members were very attentive but specially Sarah, she went above and beyond when we needed a more powerful hair dryer and she lend us hers.

I love the hotel and staff members, especially Cornelia who's so sweet and helpful! She helped me hunt for my car key. I want to thank the manager who put me into a room in the middle of the hotel with great sea view. It's everything I've dreamt of. He/she is a mind reader. The hotel is about ten minutes from the glacier lagoon - great location. It has amazing views of the glacier, and the hotel itself is gorgeous - fantastic local architecture. We were there just a week after they opened, so everything was brand new. The rooms are amazing, the bed is super comfortable, the linens are crisp. The bathrooms are gorgeous. The interior design is just fantastic, and everything is done beautifully. They didn't have the pool ready outside, so they comped our breakfast - which was just amazing, one of the best buffet breakfasts I've ever had. Our dinner was also very tasty and beautifully plated. The hotel was busy but it never felt crowded or loud, and there are lots of comfy spots where you can sit with a book or just enjoy the scenery through the massive glass walls. The staff was very well trained, professional and courteous. I would absolutely stay here again!

Thora and Bjarni run a very cozy, clean, and charming guesthouse. Breakfast is served in time slots and Thora is very attentive. She went above and beyond to accommodate my pregnant wife’s dietary needs, which was incredibly kind. Bjarni also met us at the door to help us check in after arriving slightly late, which was a very kind gesture. It’s also in a beautiful location just a short drive from Diamond Beach and the glacier, nestled next to an old church with views of the sea (maybe a kilometer away) below. Very serene views. There’s a neat historical quality to the guesthouse as well. It’s in a building that used to be affiliated with the church and has an authentic feel to it.

The view out the widow and off the deck were great. The room was decorated very nicely. It was contactless check in. Shower was nice. I would definitely rent this place again.
