It is a small town with very few tourist (probably due to Diwali time). However it is a less known place and less crowdy. If some one wants to just relax for 2 days from a busy professional routine, this is the perfect place.

Beautiful place to get away from the chaos of city.
Beautiful place to get away from the chaos of city. If one can visit on weekday, can have more fun due to less crowd as compared to weekend.
Can stay in Alpine Resort or Blue pine resort (both adjacent) as they are closer to major attractions I.e. bhulla Lake, tip and top point, St Mary Church and War Memorial. All these can be easily covered in half day depending on how much time you spend in each location. But one will need a car or private taxi to cover all these places efficiently within a day.
If you can start early morning then also visit Tarkeshwar Mahadev temple first which is 35 pax kms from lansdowne can then can come back to lansdowne and cover the local attractions the same day. This temple is surrounded by too much greenery and is a good place to relax in the lap of nature and get some pics clicked
Private Car costs 2000-3000 per day for all above places depending on the rush and your bargaining skills

It's near to Delhi 261km/ 6hrs away.
It's near to Delhi 261km/ 6hrs away. Very peaceful scenic quiet place away from the city life in the midst of Pine trees. One stop can at Lansdowne and the one can go to Khirsu a better place with snow view from GMVN Khirsu (89 km from Lansdowne) with good hilly roads, however both places are not good for rainy season as road blockages can happen at several location which PWD and other organisations keep clearing. We travelled in Oct start and did not face any such issue. Many museums, temples, churches and bhulla tal is all there. Mostly beautiful views and bird watching.

Being a small town and one which is a military cantonment,...
Being a small town and one which is a military cantonment, in my opinion, there are very few attractions like the Parade ground (can watch it only from the outside), Garhwal Regiment Musuem (very interesting), Tip-n-top point (just about okay), couple of churches which one can visit (all this in a very small radius). So if the idea is to go sightseeing a lot of places, there are'nt many options. It is a very good place to just relax and soak in the military vibes with a British legacy. Very inspiring to visit the musuem and go through the Garhwal rifles history. In my view, a 2N stay is more than sufficient to cover sightseeing at a leisurely pace. Overall a very peaceful place to be.
