Jorhat is a laid back sleepy town.
Jorhat is a laid back sleepy town. It is not much crowded and the entire town has one just one crossroad called baruah chariali from which you can go to Gar ali, AT road, JB road and Nou ali flyover to rly stn. Gar ali connects to JB road and on the road one can find the administrative buildings, district judges session court, rajma pukhuri, shankardev chitrakala sadan, SP's residence, DC's bunglow, jorhat stadium complex and wola! Not too big of a city neither too small.
Not too big of a city neither too small. Almost everything is available with minimal traffic jams. And the best part is, it lies in the middle of various tourist places such as majuli, sibsagar, gibbon wildlife sanctuary and nagaland.AAnonymous - Scored 8.08.0

Since I went there for official purpose that didn't get much time to explore. However, a quick glimse of the busy street of Jorhat city has caught my eye with the beauty of place which is rich of historic monument and statue everywhere. I enjoyed mouth watering local food, Sukafa parks museum etc.

Jorhat is the second largest city of assam.in jorhat there are so many literary people and so many historical sites there.the last capital of the "ahom" Kingdom. I like the place very much I often used to go there. And greenglade homestay provide the better facilities to know about the jorhat by staying there
