We had a great time at iBEX. We were two families, 7 guests total. The room was super comfy, big with a full kitchen (fridge, oven, vegetable rack etc.). The dining table was remarkable, beds were comfortable and we had a nice porch. Next to us was a bar that had a cocktails night and great music. The breakfast was very generous, with eggs, salads, many cheeses, french toast, unique jams and pickles, coffee (any kind) and desserts.
Friendly staff, and great value for the money

The rooms were clean, the breakfast was rich and the stuff was nice and helpful. I also liked that they had an option to pay a nominal fee and stay longer on Saturday, until nightfall, which is useful if you're Shomer Shabbat.
This option used to be free and available almost anywhere in Israel, but now that it's not guaranteed, I rather pay and know that it is secured and not have the hotel stuff try to judge if I'm "really observant" (this happened in another hotel!).
The pool was very clean and its opening hours worked great for us.

The reservation was for a 2 room bungalow with a garden view. What we got was a tent with mattresses. No garden as pictured. No electricity. Bathroom was across the road & at 4:40 in the morning it was dark.

A cute little town, with some interesting artists' shops, cafes, workshops, and a connection to the desert (wild goats coming in for a visit...). A good travel destination, but I wouldn't want to live there - it's too far away from everything.

It was calming and quiet.
It was calming and quiet. Hot During the day but beautifully cool from the late afternoon until.the morning. There's enough to do for a few days stay. Good sources of food available from homemade breads, quiches, desserts and sandwiches to "al ha'esh to upscale. 2 1/2 hours drive from Jerusalem. The night sky tours are spectacular (except during full moon!) The MR visitors Center has a wonderful program, definitely worthwhile. About an hour long(?) but fine for kids.

Mitzpe Ramon is magical.
Mitzpe Ramon is magical.
You can enjoy a different view depending on the time of day. Make sure you get to see the sunset on the promenade and watch the mountains change colors.
There are many trails - the easiest is to walk along the promenade.
If you want to hike, make sure you take plenty of water and a good trail map. You can get info at the visitors center - which is well worth visiting. They have a lovely light show exhibition that explains how this erosion crater "machtesh" was formed.
The crater is a geological wonder. It is also fun to see the ibexes (mountain goats) walking down the streets of the city.

Really nice location in Mitzpe Ramon. We immediately fell in love with the beautiful room. We got an upgrade to a room with a terrace and a Jacuzzi, which was amazing. And the staff was really helpful and friendly.
Breakfast, served in a place with a great view, was really tasty. It was a great experience staying at the Selina and we‘ll definitely be back.
the terrace is nice, so you can enjoy a coffee outside.
lovely that there’s some coffee and tea to use.
good bed, clean room, friendly staff! perfect for a night to visit mitzpe Ramon makhtesh. and you can walk to the pub in 10 minutes. behind the house you can stand in the dark and watch the stars, if it’s not cloudy ;)
Cool little "smart hotel" kind of bigger than pods but not quite a proper hotel room which wasn't fully clear from the booking page. Very comfortable bed and basics but rook layout was lacking. Great location with a ton of shops all around downstairs (keep an eye out for the jazz club just past the elevators).
Amazing view, amazing room.
We had some rain which knocked out the power however the hotel staff and especially Shirley were super gracious (thank you!) and compensated us right away.
Amazing stay, will def. return soon!
