This friendly hotel has lovely views over the sea and estuary and offers good-value food. It is a good base for visits to Waterford, Cashel, Cork City and Cobh.

The house was warm and welcoming and beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations. The room was wonderful, a huge bed, sea views, the best shower I’ve ever had. The attention to detail was amazing, somewhere to sit and relax, eat and sleep.

Myself and my partner stayed at Summerfield Lodge B&B to attend a friends wedding in the town. We found Barbara to be a fabulous host, she took great care of us during our stay. The house is in a beautiful location which overlooks the ocean. I would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back for a visit soon.
Youghal is a splendid old town with a fantastic history.
Youghal is a splendid old town with a fantastic history. It also has one of the best beaches in Ireland with a lovely long boardwalk, ideal for prams and wheelchair users. It’s a wonderful place to swim too! There is a great seafood restaurant in the town - Aherne’s. Around or near Youghal, there are some wonderful places to visit - Ardmore and Lismore, and the lovely River Blackwater, to name just a few. Youghal is a good base from which to visit these places, though you would need a car to do that comfortably. I would highly recommend Youghal as a place to visit.

Wonderful place to visit that is close enough to Cork and Blarney Castle and far enough away from traffic and the bustle of a big city. Great location for families over summer breaks. Recommend to overseas travellers

I am probably bias as it was my mother’s home town. I love Youghal.
Having said that it was my husband’s first trip to Youghal and loved the place it’s picturesque views across the harbor and the friendliness of the locals was enough for us to book a return trip in September for a longer stay.

Youghal is located at a river estuary.
Youghal is located at a river estuary. It has a history - we stayed at the Sir Walter Raleigh hotel - and a number of historic buildings in town and on the water front. We stayed overnight. I had a long, interesting, exploratory trip along the boardwalk along a wide, blue flag beach. It’s a destination for family holidays, it’s well worth a stop on a trip along the south coast of Ireland.
Fabulous unspoilt seaside resort. Charming friendly people. Magnificent sunsets & beaches galore. Easy walking around town and along the promenade/strand. Bertie’s pub for great Guinness & atmosphere even on rainy afternoon.
Clancy’s for great food & service.

I love Youghal.
I love Youghal. I have been visiting and sometimes staying there for years. For a seaside resort I find it very peaceful. Plenty of places to eat and everyone has been very friendly. Clancy's is probably my most favourite bat/restaurant. Good value for money.

Lovely stay at Happy Hill (approx 10min drive outside Youghal Town). The triple room was large and very comfortable with a great shower. We enjoyed the plentiful continental breakfast served in your room. No TV (in case that's important to you); but good WiFi to keep the 2 teenagers happy! I liked the 'quiet policy' between 11 pm and 7 am, which makes a pleasant change from noisy hotel guests..! The owners were lovely and friendly; including Summer the dog and Bibi the cat... Would definitely stay again.
Barbara and her husband welcomed us from the start. Bubbly and originally from Youghal, they definitely know every good place to go and visit.
The rooms have just been redecorated and upstaged... They are perfect and match any high end hotel.
The breakfast is just fantastic and fresh. The choice is abundant.
We wIll definitely come back and stay on our next visit to Youghal.
Alanna was an exceptional host and communication was excellent. We loved every minute of our short stay in her house. She had left treats and games for our kids and the kitchen was fully stocked. Beds comfy and house in an excellent location and condition. Will definitely return if heading back to Youghal.
