We were just staying to visit my husband’s family who live nearby. Not much happening in Oldcastle at the time of year we were visiting, but the weather was good and we had a lovely walk up to Lough Crew which is just a few minutes away by car and the view from up there is spectacular on a fine day.DeborahUnited Kingdom

The unit itself was clean, well appointed and recently decorated. The kitchen was filled with everything you could need, including a wonderful espresso machine, along with some bread, jam, marmalade and a fruit platter left for us by the hosts. Such a wonderful touch, we enjoyed it immensely! Shower was decent and towels lovely. The host called by to leave a heater for us, just in case we felt a chill that night!

The place was spotless and the outside area was lovely. The kids loved exploring around the garden and there were loads of games inside the house to keep them busy in the evening. The hosts Claire and William went above and beyond to ensure everything was ok. Oldcastle town itself is very close and there is a lovely walk up to an old megalithic site. I would definitely recommend!!
