The staff were all incredibly welcoming and wonderful!!! The food was some of the best that I’ve had during my travels in Indonesia. My friend and I enjoyed the snorkeling around our cabin and exploring the mangroves from the walkways. It’s easy to do day trips from the resort. And again, the staff were all so helpful and friendly! Terima kasih!

Iko Homestay, hotel in Waisai

With sea views, this accommodation offers a terrace. Towels and bed linen are featured in the homestay.

The location of Iko Homestay is incredible!!! Surounded by crystal clear water and corals, and located just next to one of the best diving centres, it doesn't get much better than this (amazing sunsets included). But best thing of the homestay are the people working there. Many many thanks to Afri, Ferry,, Mariah Carey and all the other staff. Amazing!!

Erens Guest House, hotel in Waisai

Providing a private beach area, Erens Guest House provides accommodations in Waisai. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace. On-site staff can arrange airport transfers.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Eren's guesthouse located right in front of the beach in Sauwandarek village, offering breathtaking views of the sea and the jetty. The room and the common areas were very clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. There is a nice toilet inside the room. The food was the best we had in Raja Ampat by far and quantities were always more than enough to satisfy our hungry stomachs after snorkeling. What made our stay truly special was the fact that my father and I were the only tourists in the entire village during our stay (the bliss of low season) giving us a unique and authentic experience. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the manager, Defi. She was incredibly attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. She is very sweet and her English is perfect. We highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat by the sea near a great snorkeling / diving spot.

Was interesting to explore the island. if you stay here there is an ATM in raja ampat city not far from the accommodation at an indomart. The roads are not too busy. We used a scooter. There are cars available to go to blue river or other places.

One the most enchanting place on earth.

One the most enchanting place on earth. I have travelled to many places (Carribbean, Hawaii, Fiji, Bali, Philippines, South America...) Raja Ampat ranks among the firsts: snorkeling in spectacular clear waters, diving in ocean paradise full of diversity. I like the people too, they are helpful and calm. Though life isn't easy for anybody... Getting around is mainly by taxis (cars, motorbike, taxi boat...), isn't difficult to find but can be very costly. Be sure to have a local SIM by registering your phone with a provider as internet isn't widely available. I was recommended Telkomsel and it worked pretty ok just a bit slower than in Europe, got network problem on one afternoon. This along with power banks and eventually a flashlight. Night time isn't powered with lamps, some places do with solar panels but may not be sufficient in term of lighting. Waterproof bags are a must to protect your items during your trips, sunscreen clothing/accessories. I am not mentioning lotions as they can be a source of pollution to water and marine life. Mosquitoes are plenty everywhere, and very hungry...
