One of the first Bali resorts, Kuta has a long, sandy beach and great nightlife - reasons why it’s one of Indonesia’s top tourist spots.
Another popular draw is Kuta surfing. From gentle rollers to lefthanders, the waves are great for all abilities. Several shops in town sell big-brand surf gear at knockdown prices, while other shopping options include Kuta Square, Discovery Mall and Bali Mall Galleria.
There’s also no shortage of places to eat. Street vendors offer local fare, while international cuisine is served in restaurants of the Kuta hotels on Booking.com. When the sun goes down, the heat goes up, as the bars and clubs in party zone Jalan Legian kick into life. For something more refined, the bars by Kuta Beach waterfont are a great spot to watch the sun set with a refreshing cocktail.
If you’re up early enough to see the Sanur Beach sunrise, you might get to see locals throwing traditional offerings into the sea. Spirituality is a big part of Balinese life and there are yoga and meditation classes, not to mention spas to revive the senses.
The gateway to southern Bali, Denpasar Airport is right on the edge of the town, so it won’t be long before you can stretch out and soak up the sun.
Good for shopping, cafes, restaurants and malls.
Very bad for walking, very bad infrastructure, tiles are very slippery, water build up very fast and many broken cracks on pavement and roads.
Narrow walkways very hard for walkinh

The Hard Rock Hotel is great for family holidays, lots of space and great facilities and entertainment, unfortunately Kuta is grid locked 24/7 with cars/taxis and scooters, the road system just cannot cope with the volume of traffic, the scooter create huge volumes of 2 stroke smoke pollution, once you are in the Hard Rock your are away from it, but Bali is a very long way from the UK and there are Hard Rock Hotels all over the world, I personally wouldn't go back because of the traffic, pollution and the beaches are filthy with plastic waste.

Kuta is probably ok if all you are after is shopping for tacky souvenirs and partying. It certainly isnt a good representation of Bali on the whole i would recommend spending as little time there as possible, get out and stay at some of the other parts of Bali which are just stunning.

Amnaya kuta was fantastic.
Amnaya kuta was fantastic. We were warmly greeted by the staff. Their breakfast menu is quite good too. They also upgraded us to deluxe room which was quite big and clean and had a beautiful balcony. The pool was also nice.
Overall the place was quite good and we had a great stay.

Location was pretty good as it’s in a huge shopping mall with lots of food options and easy access to clothes shopping and other goods. Slept great because there wasn’t much noise around us, you can’t hear motorbikes or cars around you as the hotel is located away from any busy roads and has a good amount of noise suppression. The staff were lovely and helped us out for a very last minute room request as we ended up having to stay in Bali for an extra 2 nights due the volcano eruptions and cancelled flights.
Staff were fantastic, 24hr front desk. I used this hotel for somewhere to stay and freshen before 1130pm flight out of Bali, well worth it. Room was cool and air conditioner worked well. Bathroom clean. Restaurant serving good food and service was excellent. I used the onsite spa and had a massage, reasonable rates and again excellent service. Road noise is a bit loud but I didn’t have a problem napping. I would stay again. Room is on the small side. But for the cost it was excellent value.
A small, very clean, new and comfortable guesthouse 5 minutes from the airport. We stayed here for a few hours to rest before our night-flight out of Bali. The family that runs the house is very kind and welcoming. Room with good AC, clean, good bed. Room feels like a European budget hotel for a 1 night stay. Well done!
It is a very cheap hotel in Kuta Bali, and it is of course value for money. Their AC in the room works fine and their staff also helped us to arrange a tour to Mount Batur Volcano, which I like. And the location is also good and has some restaurants to eat. It is also very near to the Kuta beach.
Love it it smells nice, neat and he staff are very gentle and helpful feels welcome in bali . Lovely stay. Very near to laundry area, miney changer, groceris mart, scooter rentals , warongs, lots of hotel nearby mostly expensive but the rate here is cheap but it stands for its quality
