We stayed for 2 nights in Pondanu during our stay in Bali, mainly because its close to the northern waterfalls.
All in all we liked the place - comfy beds, roomy accommodation, setting on the lake, nice breakfast and readily available lunch and dinner if you want them. Its easily accessible for car transfers and not far from the waterfalls, botanical garden, lake temple etc. The view of the mountains is great too. Yellow cat is legendary :)

This property was so good. Staff were excellent. Service was amazing. Christian the manager went above and beyond to ensure we enjoed our stay. They can organise anything from transport to tours and dont add a premium. They just want to serve well. The bungalows are a must. Couldnt have asked for more. Meals were small but satisfying. Thank you Kabinku. We will be back for sure.

Our stay in Bedugul was a tranquil beginning to our stay in Bali. We loved the variety of scenery and activities. Although drivers were needed to access most of the activities most of these were not far from the hotel. Interactions with drivers and staff felt authentic. Loved that we could go for walks around GiriwoodHotel too. The lower temperatures in this region were very welcomed too.

Already did review but also they can send out laundry that can be done overnight for a reasonable price! Extremely helpful when on a long trip and packing light. Handara gate is not really worth paying and standing in line for. Go to Wanagiri for great photos. Banyu wana amertha falls is recommended. 3 waterfalls, no mafia guides harassing you, can take motorbike down to falls for cheap, not many people

Bedugul is more than just the temple on the lake, which is always crowded. There are other areas such as the waterfalls and treks that dot the area. A visit to Bedugul should always include a day trip to the Botanical gardens which covers a large area (157 hectares) and has specific exhibits for various plant groups such as ferns and orchids. The gardens are at an elevation of about 1300m and temperatures in the day would be a very comfortable 19-24C outside the raining season.

With amazing weather and multiple picturesque locations in and around, Bedugul is a must visit for people looking to explore the REAL Bali.
I have been to Bali twice and find Kuta/Seminyak/Nusa Dua and the other most frequented places to be too touristy and commercial. You will enjoy every bit of the humble hospitality that the Balinese have to offer when you explore the unexplored!
The locals treat you like royalty and are the most polite of indigenous population I have come across throughout my little travel across the world

Best holiday at Pondoks place we really loved the very special Balinese hotel, with views to the rice fields and own temple.
The pictures even don’t show how beautiful the place is, every room has views to the rice fields and the swimming pool area is perfect.
Also the rooftop restaurants are stunning 🤩 with the views. Also the owner is such a lovely man, he also went with us to see local attractions and we had nice conversations with him. Thank you for the great stay and we will come back for sure!
We stay only one night we did not inquire of the temperatures in this region, it is cool and cold in the evening, remember to bring something to dress warmly ;-)
We had booked 3 nights and stayed 1 night because of that. Room are large.

Super hotel in beautiful surroundings. Very helpful staff, good food and nice with the opportunity to do room service. Also very nice with Netflix on the TV the heater in the room and complimentary mini bar. Would stay here again.
excellent value for money for the price - stunning views (particularly from the reception/restaurant area), happy and friendly staff, room ticked enough boxes as one of the few ‘big’ hotels in the area - shower pressure great.
