Wow, what a lovely experience! The luxury bungalows give you the privacy of a private villa, with all the modern conveniences but at fraction of the price. Quite spacious, the bungalow fit our family of 4 comfortably and contained everything we needed, even a dishwasher. The terrace was gorgeous for quiet morning coffee and midday rest. But the real gem is the common outdoor kitchen, which is fully equipped and provides a great gathering space. Landscaping is done to perfection and is Instagram-worthy, especially when lighting is on at night.
The beach is no more than 100 steps away and the water is one of the most beautiful we’ve swam in in Croatia (we vacation in Croatia every year, up and down the coast). Easy access is great for kids, the water is warm, and the sand seabed gives the water a wonderful turquoise color uncommon in this part of the Adriatic. The village is quaint and has no restaurants or grocery stores, but this gives it a very familial, safe and relaxed atmosphere. The conveniences of the town of Slano are a mere 3 km away, and Dubrovnik is roughly 40 minutes away by car.
Lastly, Dani and her family are some of the best hosts we ever had — extremely friendly, considerate and accommodating. We really left their place feeling as if we made new friends and found a place we’ll keep coming back to again.

We liked the relative proximity to the small sweet town of Slano as well as the beach. The property is new and clean.

The location on the island of Sipan is nice and quiet. The hotel has many nice rooms with a nice sea view. So you need to make sure you get one of those rooms!
The included breakfast was very good.

Slano is an ideal wind-down location for us, this is our third year in a row there and our third time staying at 'Villa Riva'.... after a couple of weeks driving around Croatia and Bosnia we like to stay in Slano for a few days as it gives us a shorter journey back to Dubrovnik Airport but keeps us away from the hustle and bustle of other areas closer to Dubrovnik city.

Slano is place without too much character, it has no traditional town/village center (it is occupied by a huge modern hotel, atypical for Croatia) ... but the natural setting is excellent, with Slano bay and surrounding hills, beaches are OK, arboretum Trsteno and Dubrovnik are not far away ... so, it is a good destination for a several days' stay on a tourist road along the adriatic coastline.

Slano is a perfect little town relax and experience the wonderful nature of Croatia while avoiding massive amount of turists. And if you get tired of the small town and want to go to more busy places there is a bus station that has good connections to Dubrovnik and Makarska for day trips.
The minus is there is only a few small shops around and not much to see so if you would like to explore Slano you can probably do it within one or two days trip.

We stayed in Slano for a week in mid-October.
We stayed in Slano for a week in mid-October. Slano was almost deserted and very quiet. We hiked along the seashore in both directions and also climbed higher to the top of the peninsula. It is possible to swim almost anywhere by the sea. The water was about 22 degrees Celsius in mid-October. Although there was a special very strong warm wind on two days, there were no big waves in Slano Bay. We visited Trsteno Arboretum (located near Slano) on a very windy and cloudy day. We only visited a part of it (we didn't climb down to the sea), but for a northern European, dense bamboo groves, very powerful pine trees, etc. were an experience. There are nearly 500 species of trees and plants in the park, but those who are not interested in plants and are in a hurry may find the park uninteresting.

Super cute little town. Local bread/bakery shop is a must.
Super cute little town. Local bread/bakery shop is a must. We also had breakfast at a local place which was a buffet.
We did get a ticket since we didn't pay to park. We never saw a sign stating this spot was for pay. Make sure you check your area. Parking ticket was 10 Euros. Have no idea how we pay this since we are on vacation.

We loved our stay in Villa Eva. It was a good size apartments for our family of 4, it was easy to get into on the arrival and everything was explained in terms of using it and the facilities provided for the guests. Our host was very friendly and always helpful. No question was left unanswered and we were able to get to know some useful things about Slano and other tourist attractions not only close by, but also in a distance from the village. Thank you for hosting us, Maria, Anthony, Olivia and Henry.
Everything was clean, the direct view of the sea was great. Beach right below the house. Great location, close to the sea and close to the city center with restaurants and cafes.
Nice apartment in a beautiful seaside town which was about 45 minutes from Dubrovnik.
Stunning view!
Free parking right next to the property, beautiful fully equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable rooms and outdoor balcony.
Thank you again!
I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone visiting Slano.
It was an amazing time spent at this villa. The owner of the Villa, Jurica, was so kind as to give us advice on our travels in Croatia. He was able to get fish for us in Dubrovnik and we had a wonderful dinner with tuna. The sea view made us happy in the evenings. Marina was always on call and help us with any questions.
This was such great value for money, in a clean and spacious room with aircon. For Slano, this was a good price compared to other accommodation that did not have an en suite bathroom or mini kitchen. Marija is a lovely host who was very helpful. Beautiful view from the balcony and a few steps from the rectors palace.
Very pleasant owner, beautiful sea view, proximity of beautiful natural beaches (1 km)! Very quiet place for relaxation. Proximity of the city center of Slano (1 km) and the city of Dubrovnik (30 km).
