One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.
Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture, to nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.
Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbour, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.
Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the backgound.

I love the life, vibes and the food in HK but my last visit was severely marred by a bad bout of food poisoning that my family got from one of the Lan Kwai Fong restaurants on Christmas eve.
My favourite area is still at Central amongst all the areas in HK.

HK has lost its appeal in general.
HK has lost its appeal in general. Even Disneyland park didn’t do that great in customer service too. Theme park was pretty average. Didn’t update various platform for closed ride. The fast pass I bought was shortchanged cos the ride was closed.

Hong Kong is a fantastic destination for families looking to explore the city at a relaxed pace. I recommend a six-day trip to cover the majority of attractions without feeling rushed. From scenic harbor views to bustling markets and delicious cuisine, Hong Kong has something for everyone.
However, for solo travelers on a budget, Hong Kong can be quite expensive. In this case, a three-day trip might be a better option, allowing you to experience the city's highlights without breaking the bank.
Overall, Hong Kong is a wonderful destination that caters to different travel styles and budgets.

The transportation here is awesome.
The transportation here is awesome. The train/subway system is incredible, as are the buses and the ferries. You can get everywhere very quickly. We were here for nearly three months, which makes a great difference between our perspective and someone who is visiting for only 5 days or so. We spent a few weeks in Macau, and the rest of the time between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. There were areas we favored for the ambience, or for the location, or for discovering the draw and hype. The main sections of Hong Kong are totally alive and vibrant at night!! I preferred walking at night and busing by day. The Octopus transportation card is very cheap and allows you to ride everywhere to check out the different neighborhoods, famous shopping districts, beaches galore, outer islands, amusement parks (Disney, Ocean Park, the Peak, cable cars,). There is no doubt that it could take many trips to Hong Kong before getting the feel of which part of Hong Kong suits your personality. I for one would not hesitate living on the island. But then, I'm an island girl to begin with...!!!

Felt very safe there.
Public transport is fast, cheap, and very easy to navigate. Got an Octopus card (even got a senior's discount) and did most of our sightseeing using public transport. Need cash to top up Octopus card.

Hong Kong is our must visit yearly destination.
Hong Kong is our must visit yearly destination. Great place for hiking during cooler months, beauty of HK lies in the hills and mountains. More hiking itinerary packages should be promoted.
Public transportation is excellent, so well connected.
Downside of HK is there are still rude service people in restaurants and sharing of tables with strangers especially if the table is already small. Some places are just not friendly to non Chinese speaking tourists, most unfortunate.

the location of the hotel at north point is excellent. It is located at the terminal tram station that has frequent tram services that take you to central piers and other locations located on Hong Kong island. The breakfast, lunch and dinner is also amazing, one of the finest food in Hong Kong hotel. The facility in the Hyatt is also much more modern than the one found in similar prices around Kowloon and across the bay.
I stayed here because it was close to Hong Kong central train station and the HangSen bank head quarters, where I was taking a tour from. I found it to be a three star hotel, basic style furniture, comfortable bed ,good shower and air conditioning. Heaps of eating places ( where the locals eat ) and two 7 elevens within 100 metres. About a 15 minute walk to the star ferry.
The hotel is in a good location, short walk to the train station, and it's pretty easy to go to Central or Kowloon from the hostel.
There's loads of nearby restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores.
I found this pretty good value for money (but I guess prices fluctuate) and considering this is Hong Kong, I had a fairly large room that was clean!
The hotel location is terrific convenient to go to anywhere by MTR (Subway). No need to worry about rainy days as the the hotel is just located and linked to the exit of the subway which is within in the big and modern mall . And this subway is linked to all the cities within Hong Kong and Kowloon districts.
- very central location
- hotel is directly connected to IFC mall and Hong Kong Station, from you can directly go to the airport
- amazing views from pool area and great pools
- great view from room
- very nice design
