The staff was super friendly and helpful, they checked with us every day in case we needed anything. The location was also great, if you're looking for passive vacation, as the hotel is only 3-5 minutes away from the beach and it's not in the central town, so there is less noise.

Poros is scenic. The beaches were not appealing. You need a boat to go to the nicer waters to swim. The restaurants were all good and reasonably priced. The waters around the island are clean but murky.

Poros is wonderful island covered with lush green vegetation. The main town is beautiful with many tavernas and shps by the port. There are a few beaches though and the Monastiri is the best by far. The water is clean and the surrounding area is wonderful with pine forest and Monastery above it. The problem is that, althogh there should be a law in Greece which does not allow beach bars and other concessions to occupy more then 50% of beach area, it was not obeyed at all. The whole beach area is covered by umbrellas and sun beds, which was particularly annoying on Love bay and Monastiri beach. Also, a big minus for the island is broken sewerage pipes affecting the Neorio area as well as the Love bay, Russian dockyard which are considered as the best beaches on the island. This is unacceptable by any neans and must be addressed immediately.

First impression on arrival was that I wasn’t staying long enough! Spent hours wondering around the labyrinth of quaint streets, fabulous restaurants and tavernas, fantastic with all the yachts and ships moored up, some lovely beaches and all within walking distance.

Poros is a great island to visit and many come by yacht...

Poros is a great island to visit and many come by yacht small and large because the harbour stretches the length of the town. All along the edge of the water are cafés, bars and restaurants. The architecture of the old buildings is beautiful. There is even a rule that all roofs must be terracotta tiles! The beaches aren’t the best I’ve been to in Greece but there are some decent ones on the main part of the island away from the town.

    Fantastic island, vibrant yachting community.

Fantastic island, vibrant yachting community. Ferries from Athens drop you in the centre of Poros. Stunning walk along harbourfront, views to the sea and mainland and the beautiful hilltop town. Very good restaurants with cheap and fresh seafood. Lots of shops, inexpensive supermarkets and bakeries. Good walking around the island with marked footpaths. Great beaches nearby, nearest 10 mins on foot. Free minibus around main part of the island and inexpensive taxis. All round great destination for all ages.

A beautiful little Island just a short ferry trip from Athens with access to other Islands like Hydra. Lot's of small shops, mini-marts, restaurants etc -plenty of choice to eat out. Lovely walks - if you hire a car you can visit the main places in a day or two.

To lie on perfect white cotton sheets in the early morning with the curtains billowing in on the gentlest warm Saronic breeze and gaze across to the islands scattered in the blue pink light is to experience the image you dreamed of made real.. Book the top floor.. the pain of the punishing steps up easily outweighed by the gain... they are a killer especially if you've already manhandled luggage up from the town. Taxi advised.. 5 € without luggage 7€ with.. Host was excellent and dealt with our minor issues immediately..

The hotel was very nice! When we arrived we immediately got shown our room, which was great. The staff is very nice as well. The pool is nice and when it is closed during the afternoon it is only a short walk to the beach. There is a taxi boat in Poros Town that takes you to Askeli beach for only €2 (you can also take this boat back to Poros Town and to Monastery beach). The kitchen has everything you need. The balcony was very nice and had a very nice view.

Excellent location on the island with one of the best views I've ever had in a hotel. The people, Alexandros and Maria (if I am not mistaken), were super friendly and helpful. With their hospitality from day one, I felt that we knew each other long time! I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Poros! Εις το επανιδείν!
