Communication with host was good but would have preferred not to of had to contact at all. The place was warm with underfloor heating and radiators. We were approved a later check out so we didn’t have to rush on leaving, although we did find the 4pm check in a bit to late. Restaurant recommendations were good.

Never been before and we loved it. Lots to explore.
Never been before and we loved it. Lots to explore. We stayed for 3 days but could have easily stayed a week. The people were so friendly and it was great value. You've got lovely villages, beaches, parks and city on the doorstep and views to mountains & hills of Wales and Yorkshire- what more could you want.

Pretty villages and lovely walks along the Wirral Way.
Pretty villages and lovely walks along the Wirral Way. Close to Chester, Liverpool and within easy reach of North Wales, Port Sunlight village is fascinating and the Art Gallery there is interesting.

The Wirral is not somewhere we would have chosen to visit, but we were there to see our Godson, and his parents were looking at properties with the intention of moving to the Wirral. We liked the friendliness of the people. The views across the Dee estuary on the West side are lovely, and there are acres of sand and the possibility of walking to Hilbre Island from West Kirby when the tide is out. Ness gardens are beautiful, as are many of the town parks and nature parks. Transport links are excellent. Port Sunlight with it's mix of architectural styles and the Lever Gallery are worth a visit. Mersey ferry to Liverpool docks a must, and views of Liverpool skyline from Woodside where there are nice cafes. New Brighton is "very seaside resort". Good area for cyclists and popular Sustrans "Wirral Way."

Went to West Kirby marina and walked round.
Also went to Thurstaston beach and Royden Park. The Wirral is lovely. Buildings made from the local red sandstone, many beaches and proms and a plethora of parks to choose from.

This was our third stay at West Mead Cottage, and the hosts are such a wonderful family. We had a blissful time again. The cottage is so comfortable and it is quiet so it’s a great place to relax. The hot tub is a lovely treat too. You can get supplies from a local supermarket and there are several good places to eat. We have breakfast at the Ness Botanical Gardens as the food is great. We will definitely be staying again as it’s a great place to explore the Wirral and visit Liverpool.
Living in the authentic Port Sunlight model village is an unique experience and, staying at 3 Duke of York cottage, with its comforts and modern amenities, will be a lasting memory. It is an ideal location for the wonderful art gallery, museums and theatre, and there is nearby access to trains and buses to Liverpool and the Wirral.
We expected that parking would be a problem but rear street parking was always available.
Excellent place to stay whilst visiting the Wirral. Lodge very private and peaceful with our own entry. Slept well in a comfortable large bed. Beautiful sheltered garden to sit out in. Great shower and Mark the host was very welcoming and cooked lovely breakfasts. The pub at the end of the road has a nice menu and also had outside seating areas. We've already recommended Manor Garden Lodge to friends.
Mark and Jan were perfect hosts. Very enjoyable stay. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and well cooked. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Perfect location with bus stops a few metres away enabling travel around the Wirral without having to drive. Restaurants and pubs within walking distance.
