Staff were absolutely wonderful. Made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
Breakfast was very yummy!
Well done to amazing staff.
Very quirky building.
Obviously with it being a very old, listed building it has amazing features and is far from modern; if you're after decorated perfection with no originality then look elsewhere!

The perfect stay at The Olive Tree Guest House. On site parking! David was the perfect host, super accommodating (especially with me returning in the early hours due to singing at the Uttoxeter Racecourse Christmas Party on the night) The room was immaculate and very welcoming! Amazing breakfast the following morning that set me up for the long journey to my next gig back in Newcastle!

It was the ideal location for us visiting Uttoxeter.
The room was spacious with a large very comfortable bed. Bathroom was big enough. Large bath and reasonably sized shower which was more than adequate. Room was cleaned and spotless during our stay.
Breakfast was very good and English breakfast cooked to order.
The Thai restaurant in the hotel is a must to visit - excellent home cooked Thai food by Benny.
Benny was the lady who welcomed us on our arrival and looked after us during our stay and was an excellent hostess.

The location was ideal as it was only 3 miles from where we were, on the Churnet Railway. The host Magaret was very pleasant and opened up the Inn early as we had young children in the group and were hungry. We had a lovely meal and a couple of drinks and my two grandsons had a lovely time. l can highly recommend the Peakstones Inn and Margaret the owner is a lovely lady. We even woke up to snow which was very enjoyable for the grandsons so near to Christmas.

The racecourse is right next to the station, and it's a very short stroll into the centre of town, where there are plenty of food options and, of course, a good value Wetherspoons! We had a delicious curry at the Divine Punjabi Restaurant, where the wine was also very competitively priced.

I know Uttoxeter because I lived and worked there in the late sixties early seventies. Obviously there have been many changes but it is still a lovely market town. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and the retail park is in the town not on the outskirts like a lot of places. For those inclined it is ideal for Alton Towers and the Peak District.

A lovely place for bars and eateries, great cafes and traditional pubs. A lovely racecourse for those that enjoy a fun day out.
Uttoxeter is easy to get around on foot, had a small high street and an 18th century hotel called the White Hart that does a fantastic Sunday lunch.

Where we stayed was close to the main road which meant a lot of road noise at night but it was close to the town, which was worth looking around lots of little shops and on Saturday there was a Craft Market with lots of stalls selling anything from basket work, jewelry, pastries, cards, and paintings.
The townsfolk were kind, and informative, and made you feel welcome.
It all depends on why you are visiting in the first place.
We were told that as it was half term there were more children as they were visiting the theme park, there is also the horse racing track nearby

The staff were all really welcoming and friendly. The room we given wasn’t the one I’d booked as it wasn’t ready because we wanted an early check in. The room we had was lovely and the bed was really comfy but the bathroom smelt of damp and if you forgot to shut the bathroom door it made the room smell. We didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t comment on that. I would definitely book this hotel again, if fact I have already booked it at Christmas. It’s a perfect location for going to the races.
The house is lovely and Peter and Ali are amazing hosts. They are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You actually don’t want for anything as everything in the room including tea and coffee, water, biscuits and a fridge. Bathroom beautifully kitted out and lots of toiletries.
Breakfast was fantastic and again everything you could possibly want.
Definitely will stay again as location right near centre of Uttoxeter.
Lovely little apartment in the perfect location. Everything was so nice and clean and the owner was really helpful when I had any questions and the room was ready super early.
Communications and details regarding access was detailed and made finding the property and getting in easy.
Although we didn’t use the kitchen really, it looked well equipped and would be a great base for exploring uttoxeter and the surrounding areas.
Very oldy worldy some great antique pieces with original bank architecture.
Free large parking at the rear of the hotel.
Well stocked bar.
Lovely room with comfortable bed.
