Chez Vivienne was exceptional. Andrew was lovely and very welcoming upon arrival, the room was incredibly cosy and well decorated and the attention to detail was amazing, with a lovely gesture left for us on our anniversary stay. We would definitely return!

I only had 1 night in the hotel and on a previous occasion stayed for 1 night. Therefore did not explore the surrounding area which as Bronte Country is so historical and amazing. Just looking at the history of the hall is so interesting and a pleasure to have been part of it.
Unfortunately the next day there were some temporary traffic light as we travelled to Otley and we were stuck in traffic which made us late for an appointment. Locals told us that it had been going on for months with no-one working there.
This now means that we cannot book this hotel again until sorted and must choose accomodation before Ilkley.
To all readers I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant especially evenings at the weekend when you can choose from a great menu. The restaurant is also open weekdays for lunch until 2.30pm. We really missed out here apart from the breakfast when staff were so charming and helpful.

Not a luxury hotel or manor by any stretch, perfectly adequate if dated pub and restaurant, more like a B&B with a dining room. Do not accept room 11, it is above the kitchen and absolutely stinks of chip fat. The beds are small doubles, so not suitable for larger people or couples who want to stretch out. Good breakfast, staff very nice.
