The Hawes Inn by Innkeeper's Collection, hotel in Queensferry

Overlooking the Firth of Forth railway bridge, The Hawes Inn by Innkeeper's Collection, is just 20 minutes’ drive from the historical city centre of Edinburgh.

One of our best stays in Scotland, for the last 30 years! The Hawes Inn is a really vintage accommodation. We had a room with a view of the Forth Bridge, which was just amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you so so much!

Corstorphine Lodge Hotel, hotel in Queensferry

A charming stone-built Victorian villa dating back to the 1880s, Corstorphine Lodge Hotel is located on the A8, which links Edinburgh Airport to the city centre.

Luckily we are happy with toast and marmelade. Cheaper than the central areas, shops and restaurants nearby, 5-10 min on the bus to centre, and a pub outside the door. Walking distance to Cramond Beach.

Fab little village near Forth road and rail bridges! Can walk over old bridge, drive over new one or travel by train over rail bridge to nice places “across the water” as Scots seem to say! Boat trips on forth too!

A nice little get away for a night after a heavy weekend. Cracking hotel and fantastic views of the 3 bridges over The Forth. Some nice pubs along the way too. Some modern and some with a more local rustic feel.

Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around.

Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around. There are lots of excellent restaurants and coffee shops. I had lunch at the Railbridge Bistro and a lovely dinner at the Thirty Knots restaurant. There are nice little shops to browse in. Queensferry is very near Edinburgh and there is an excellent train service into the city from Dalmeny Station.

Great place to base yourself for trips to Edinburgh or Livingston. Our son loved watching the trains cross the forth rail bridge, the aquarium and the ice cream at the little parlour. Breakfast at down the hatch was also delicious.

It was great. The owner was very kind and solved all the problems we had. I couldn't speak much English, but she explained everything to me carefully. And when you go out into the hallway you can hear the parrots whistling. It's very pleasant. The bus stop to Edinburgh was just a 3-minute walk away, so the location was great. It's not a hotel, so it's a bit inconvenient, but the price is reasonable and the owner is a great person, so I'm very satisfied. Thank you very much.

Lovely hotel right on the pier area of south Queensferry, bit of a hidden gem. Paid extra for the upgraded room and had a stunning sea view of the three bridges which also came with a balcony. Room was clean and modern and had a red theme. Lobby and corridors where also nicely decorated. Jointed restaurant and bar area below the hotel was nice and busy. Great for a wee getaway.

We loved Queensferry with its restaurants, coffee and craft shops. The appartment was central, stylish and comfortable. A great find and highly recommend ! The railway station is 1 mile away and the trains run regularly into Edinburgh ( 18 min journey). My husband loved his early morning strolls. We slept so well too!

Room was enormous, with twin turrets and a view straight out over the Firth of Forth, the iconic Forth Rail Rail bridge and also the hotel gardens. The staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. Ideally located for ferry trips along the Firth and easy access to Edinburgh.
