If visiting a local race yard obviously Newmarket is a base.

If visiting a local race yard obviously Newmarket is a base. The race horse museum is very good - allow 4hrs to do thoroughly. Get up early and watch racehorses on the gallops. Otherwise Newmarket is very run down these days. High street has many boarded up premesis and low grade eateries. Nice curry house and Italian. If we came again we’d stay in Cambridge and get a 20 min train.

Very warm welcome, when we arrived on Friday evening, we decided to stay for the Stevie Nicks Tribute and had a very enjoyable evening. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed was super comfortable. We had a day at Newmarket Races and arrived back to the hotel in time to have dinner in the bar and the food was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when in the area and would highly recommend. Thank you Bell Inn for making us feel welcome…x

Loved our stay here,it was close to centre of Newmarket so we were able to park the car and no need to move it until we left for home. Plenty of places to eat close by(10 mins stroll) and plenty of bars too. Tea,coffe, sugar and milk on arrival so no having to rush to shops on arrival. The house is lovely and clean and the beds were so comfortable. Will book again for any future stays in Newmarket

Excellent location in the middle of the high street. The hotel had a lovely bar and outside garden area that was great for sitting in and having a drink or food. We did ask for a change of room to the first allotted and this wasn't any trouble and a shower head was replaced due to its being covered in scale.
