The accommodation has been fully renovated very recently and everything in our room was completely changed, the bed, carpet, curtains, wardrobes, desk and chairs. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower and all the fittings were good quality and brand new. Decorations were of a high standard.

A beautiful village full of history and with the seat of the Melbourne family at one end. You are free to walk around their lake which is full of wildlife. Lots of great places to eat and drink, easy access to other places of interest and to other walks. Close to East Midlands Airport and Donnington Park but you wouldn't know otyas so peaceful. Calke Abbey just a couple of mile away and a wonderful day out. It's a special little place.

Melbourne is so full of history and character.
Melbourne is so full of history and character. I was there 3rd week in July, so still cottage garden flowers and fantastic colourful gardens, pots, hanging baskets on view in Melbourne. Was in 3 Cafès, 1 pub restaurant and Melbourne Hall's Gardens and cafè. All excellent with friendly staff. Nice independent shops there too. I thought the Melbourne Cobbler's shop was unique in that he sold a great selection of items in the small shop, he repaired all sorts of footwear, bags etc, he cut keys and he accepted parcel post for locals and stored parcel post from locals for collection by various couriers. . . All with a 😃smile.

A handsome and lovely town/village.
A handsome and lovely town/village. We went to a super wedding reception at The Spirit Vaults and dinner later at a pub on the outskirts of the vllage.
My advice would be to avoid staying and being ripped off at Harpurs and stay somewhere else.

Melbourne is a very quaint Derbyshire village.
Melbourne is a very quaint Derbyshire village. Not an amazing amount to do so a night or two away from it all is perfect. A nice little village to walk around, a some very good restaurants with food. A great cocktail bar that open late as well....
The property has everything that we needed for our stay. It was handy to be on the ground level, as my wife walks with a stick and it was easy to park and have access. Everything was there, kitchenette, fridge and microwave. Nice big bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable, we didn't want to get out of it!
You can get provisions from either the M&S food at the services, or there's a Spar in Melbourne together with some great local shops.
The coach house was perfect for our work trip - great location for us. The facilities in Melbourne are great and the coach house is well situation for restaurants and shops.
Beverley was a very welcoming and informative host
Central location in Melbourne. Perfect accommodation for us as a couple, and had all the facilities required. Very clean and tidy. Plenty of parking on the street.
