Location brilliant, especially for a lone traveller going to a gig at Dreamland as the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the venue and the Rail Station. Very comfortable and clean room, and very welcoming owners.

A bright, cosy, clean, well equipped apartment. Comfy beds, great shower and everything you could think of in the way of kitchen utensils, baking trays, tin foil, t-towels etc. A thoughtful touch with a Christmas tree, Prosecco and mince pies on our arrival. Easy communication with the host, very helpful with all my questions and check in and out was very simple and easy.

What a lovely place! Great big room, very comfortable with nice big windows through which you could see the sea. Extremely clean, great shower, even some bonus cake! Extremely easy to find from the train station and with the clear instructions regarding accessing the property, gaining entry was a smooth process. I stayed 2 nights but by the end wanted to stay longer. I'd definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The Turner Contemporary was a huge disappointment, there was nothing in there but three rooms with a tree in each and strings of rotting apples hanging from the ceiling on strings. Oh and a huge Heath Robinson contraption that made clay. A bad joke.

Margate is a diamond in the rough ,it has many interesting features and curios to discover. Many places are in need of resources to help it develop further, so we can rescue more of its interesting buildings. The business that are there are offering a great service to everyone and they help to make the stay an enjoyable one.
The star of the stay has to be the fantastic sunsets that are best experienced on the beach front, they are the best and top up my battery of wonderful memories ,of a trip to the British seaside. There is something for everyone in Margate, and well worth a visit at anytime throughout the year.

Cliftonville and beyond towards Kingsgate and Botany Bay...
Cliftonville and beyond towards Kingsgate and Botany Bay much nicer for walking than into Margate itself. Beaches better that way too
If jet skiing is your thing you can do it here. It has a club and cafe facilities. Or you can just watch from the top of the promenade and cliffs
Margate itself has lots of eating places or if you walk towards Kingswood and Botany Bay there is the Botany Bay hotel and bar with indoor and outdoor dining and is very popular lunchtimes especially weekends. Dogs made very welcome. Order at bar with table number. We only had coffee but food looked very good and reasonable prices for a hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Margate is often described as up and coming.
Margate is often described as up and coming. It still has some way to up and come. Parts of the old town are delightful and there are some really excellent restaurants, but there are a lot of shabby, badly kept buildings all over the place and the overall vibe is a bit down market. This was our first visit to this part of Kent. Margate was a good touring base for the likes of Canterbury and Whitstable but, if we were to visit again, we would probably prefer to stay in neighbouring Ramsgate or Broadstairs, which looked more well kept and more interesting.

Margate has a place in my soul.
Margate has a place in my soul. This is a place I remember from being a young child. As with a lot of coastal resorts. Margate has it's rough spots. But it's making it's way back into the spotlight. I will be returning, but not via the Apartment I last booked.

Was there for a music festival.
Was there for a music festival. Large town centre off the seafront. Plenty to do bars, restaurants, museums, shops. Margate trying hard to cater for briader audience and wider diversity. Needs sunshine to get the most from holiday there. Music venues popular with range of artists.

Excellent. Great selection for breakfast, well cooked and very pleasantly served. Staff outstanding, friendly and professional. The whole ambience was elegant and the uniqueness and authenticity of the venue was exceedingly well-preserved. It offers a journey back in time with many fascinating and interesting features which make this a "stand-out" venue. If you are looking for something different or unusual that is certainly not pretentious or tacky, then visit the Walpole Bay Hotel.
The location is great in cool and slightly quieter Cliftonville and only 15min walk (5min cab) from centre of Margate. The look, feel and decoration of the hotel is excellent - it all felt very luxe. The sea view was great - even on a grey winter day! The staff were really warm and friendly. Loved the bar as well, great for a drink to both start and finish the night. Breakfast was delicious.
Lovely cooked breakfast. room very clean. I have been going to Margate now every year for decades and I found this hotel to be a little gem. Fantastic friendly couple running the hotel. I will going back to this hotel as it hit all the right spots for me
Really friendly hotel, room very comfortable with lots of natural light and decent amenities. Well located to the main activities in Margate. Tasty food options at breakfast and lunch, and has a nice wine bar downstairs. Would be happy to stay again.
Great new hotel in Margate. Right in the city center with tons to do and see. Great room and hotel decor. Restaurant with a great view with a super nice breakfast available. There is a pantry available for guests 24hours.
