Loved the hotel renovations since our last visit years ago. Nice comfy room. Lovely meal in the restaurant followed by a relaxing drink in the lounge

My first stay at Braidmead House, excellent location, parking on site, very comfy beds and pillows. The bar in the lounge is a great touch although I didn't take advantage of it, may be next time.
The Scottish breakfast was delicious.
The owner and staff are very welcoming, it almost felt like staying at a cousins or aunts house. Will definitely stay here from now on.

The beach is about a 5-10 minutes drive away for nice walks. Irvine town centre is about a 5 minute walk but there doesn't seem to be a lot in it. The hotel is on the bus route to Irvine town centre.

We stayed 3 nights. The location was convenient, the staff very friendly. The hotel has seen better days though, Motel style, so did the room. Nice size but a bit dark, small windows actually to the garden side. The location is popular for weddings and has nice areas including ponds with illuminated water fountains at night. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and we could get it even early when we left for a full day trip to Arran island…
Just great in every way. Jimmy and the family have a beautiful place and genuinely care . Was clean , lovely decorated rooms, great communal area that felt like your home rather than a hotel bar area, breakfast was all freshly cooked to what ever you wanted , Good WiFi, nice strong shower .Just a generally relaxing , quiet stay with welcoming staff.
Breakfast was really nice, bar area is lovely and dinner was good. Very fast service. Staff were friendly. Bathrooms need updating, room was nice but a smart TV would be better due to the location of the hotel. As time is spent in the room. Bedding stained and needs replacing.
