Inverary is great for a visit to The George Hotel (both staying and dining). Inverary itself boasts the Inverary Jail which is well worth the visit. The Castle is a bit expensive and not really worth the visit. Good for some nice walks and look out for music festivals

We ended up here by accident, but really liked spending the day in this little white town during our trip through Scotland. The castle, the little harbour, shops and cafes - all very nice. Can be very busy in the afternoon though!

Inveraray can be rushed round in a day trip or you can stay a few days and take your time, soak up the atmosphere, chat to the locals and friendly shop staff, sit and enjoy the views, absorb the peace and do some walking. The famous jail, castle, bell tower are always worth a visit, but Inveraray is about so much more! Loads of good places to eat like Brambles, George Hotel, or ice cream, snacks etc at cafe opposite car park, everything within walking distance, though on a slight hill. One of my favourite places.

We found this perfect property to stay in to allow us to bring in Hogmanay at the George Hotel party. Stayed here and went to the pub for the party. Perfect. Firstly the communication from the owner was excellent prior to arrival. The house is in a perfect location in this great town. Really well equipped for a group of friends to come together. The kitchen has everything you will need. Very clean. Plenty of board games and books etc. nice and warm. Parking on the drive next to the house.
