Location (taking part in the famous 'Auld langs eyne' fell race at nearby Penistone country park). Really handy having the dog & Gun Inn next door for food & Timothy Taylor ale. Great local taxi firm ((bronte taxis) very punctual) got us to Penistone country park and then back from Haworth after we'd had beer and food there. My girlfriend enjoyed her swimming in the attached pool to ease those stiff muscles at 9 a.m., just before we checked out. Plus, the car park (separate from the pubs car park) has a gate that is locked overnight.

The location was good but took is a day to find the best route to Main Street which was down the footpath past the treehouse pub to the main road cross over to the station along the bridge then turn right up a cobbled street which gets you there. In approx 10mins. The lounge was comfortable and a decent size for 4/5 people. The kitchen was downstairs and well equipped except it had more bowls for dogs than humans 😀. The bathroom and double bedroom were also a good size. Generally a good place to stay.
Highly recommended for a short break.
Very traditional.
Highly recommended for a short break.
Very traditional. Small cafes and restaurants , pubs with good food, antique shops and other places to look around.
It is recommended to reserve a table, even at cafes, because some places are very popular and the town is always busy
The Bronte parsonage is a good visit and value for money. The ticket costs £15 full price, but can be used many times again in a year. Very picturesque during Christmas. Main street is uphill, so need to plan where to park (plenty of free parking), if mobility is s a n issue.
We’ll visit soon again

Of course the main reason people visit here it to view the home and surroundings of the Bronte sisters and it is a life-affirming trip! The walk up to Top Withens, via the Bronte waterfall is beautiful, as is the Parsonage and the church where (most of) the family were laid to rest. The village is lovely too with plenty of gift shops, cafes and pubs to enjoy. We also took a trip on the steam train during this visit and that was something we will definitely do again too.

Haworth is a small village but really packs a punch in terms of culinary excellence.
We had 2 great meals during our stay. An evening meal at the Old Post Office which was honestly some of the best food i'd ever eaten. Lunch was taken at Pave, their cheese and meat board was truly excellent. Both were very reasonably priced as well.
There is a very picturesque walk to the Bronte Falls which is suitable for all standards of hiker !

This was one of my favorite places to visit.
This was one of my favorite places to visit. I love small historic towns and villages, and I love to explore areas known in literature (such as the moors where the Brontes lived & places where Jane Austen lived). There were great cafes and pubs with a variety of food. The walking paths and trails were marked & my friends and I had a great time hiking around on the moors. The locals were friendly, the food was good, the weather changed every 30 seconds. Honestly, I had a great time. There's so much history in the UK. My friends and I were able to explore the area on foot and not drive on the narrow lanes.

A lovely village set on the edge of the moors.
A lovely village set on the edge of the moors. The stone buildings display their history and character and the various walks available from the town take you through stunning countryside to beautiful sights. Lots of nice places to eat, drink and everyone is extremely friendly. No need to rush around, the ability to take life st your own pace is one of the best things we enjoyed aniutniur trip to Haworth and we look forward to coking back for longer.

A large and well equipped self catering appartment within a small hotel up on the moors near to Haworth. Option to eat at the Dog and Gun next door or to take your own supplies to prepare if you prefer. The appartment was very warm and quiet with thick stone walls to protect from any weather from the beatiful and atmospheric moors.
I can't imagine a better place to stay in Haworth. Very atmospheric and cosy. A fabulous location at the bottom of main Street. The staff were fantastic and so was the breakfast and Bottomless brunch. Will be recommending to friends/family.
Great exceptionally clean spacious apartment , with everything you would ever need for your stay including your own parking space . Good location with a short walk to the Main Street of Haworth .
