The hotel is charming. The staff were very friendly. We liked that it had both a bar and the dining veranda. The food is exceptional. We really enjoyed the breakfast included in the price of the room. It's not too far to walk to the beachfront area. I noticed it is also very accommodating for people with walking disabilities.

The entertainment in the pubs is fantastic just ask around for what is happening in the pubs and when, most start around 3pm and many are the entertainers from the holiday camps, off season is the best time to go and the fishing is fantastic whether sea or river

Unfortunately the town, like other "old" seaside towns in the UK, has seen tourism decline, which inevitably leads to deprivation, lack of investment, anti social issues, etc. All these affect Great Yarmouth. There is some investment in the new Leisure Complex (swimming pool, gym) and soon to be Winter Gardens; but this will make little difference to the town and area. Combine the above with alot of migrants and apparent foreigners, occupying alot of the guest houses and cheaper establishments; the town does appear to have seen better days.
Nice to spend a few days in the sun in summer; but not sure about longer stays.

Quite dated; shopping precinct is from the 70's.

The main road fronting the beachn is full of oldish dowdy slot machines, chip shops and similar, like from 50 years ago.
Best area is near to the Venetian Waters - going slightly north; there are some nice hotels in that area with good restaurants

Third visit to the Palm Court and now under different management. Entrance area and bar had been refurbished and there had been uplifts to the dining areas. Service at both breakfast and dinner was improved and servers were attentive and alert, with food arriving quickly. Location is excellent for the seafront and the hotel has ample parking
The hotel was small and friendly , the decor was really lovely . It was nice and clean . The bed was really comfortable. The room had a beautiful view right across the seafront .
The food , both dinner and breakfast was exceptional!!
The room was OK. The bed was huge and comfy.
The hotel as well as the restaurant overlook the sea from the cliff.
Free parking, close to the beach, which is not overcrowded since this is outside of the busy Great Yarmouth area.
It was an absolutely fantastic hotel! So close to the seafront & town centre. 5 minute walk if that. The staff was so friendly & was more than happy with help with any questions we had! Highly recommend
The hotel was nicely situated by the seafront and the rooms were lovely. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. You had little extras what you were not expecting.
