A few little niggles, being in our 70’s having to climb up to unlock the door to get in,was not good, a health and safety issue I think. Also lock on bathroom door did not work and the extractor fan didn’t work either, also a hair dryer would have been useful. Apart from that a nice place

We really liked how comfortable, modern and spacious it was. Some of the girls went in the hot tub and loved it whilst we were making cocktails with butler in the buff. Would definitely stay here again. We got some chocolate biscuits and prosecco which was a nice touch.

A beautifully well presented lodge. Spotlessly clean & everything well co-ordinated - stylish & cosy accommodation. Very comfortable, nice bedding & towels, everything thought through in detail to make a real home from home stay! Fresh milk in the fridge for a cup of tea on arrival with delicious biscuits, ice in the freezer for a pre going out G & T in a Gin glass, amazing! . Excellent hosts! Thank you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The car park was large. The Rooms were large and comfy. The Hotel was warm and the food was plentiful and delicious.
Entertainment was good and well organised.
The Hotel as nicely decorated with Christmas decorations and trees. Evening Menu was available. Snacks sold at the bar during the day also.We arrived to a complementary box of shortbread/fudge in our room.
The holiday park is a great place for families. We were out and about a bit, but if you are staying local, best to get the 'Golden pass' from the lodge owner (you pay a bit more) so that you can use the pool etc. Can't buy a drink or use the restaurant without the pass.
Other than that, we liked the place and it was ideal for us. Nice to be near New Forest as well as not too far from the beach.

Chosen for location to family in wimborne.
Chosen for location to family in wimborne. The lady greeted us warmly on reception.
The room was not 'the kings suite' as advised by the receptionist but a basic (tired) double room.
The door lock didn't seem to be working so I propped the folding luggage wrack behind the door. We arrived very late so just wanted to sleep otherwise I would have asked to change rooms.
The bath was rusty, didn't hold the water, had dirty grout & towel rail wasn't working. Apparently according to the room information non slip bath mats are available from reception - not helpful as you are stepping into the bath before reading the info.
The windows with tatty net curtain let in the outside road noise & there were stains on the carpet but it did have a bottle of tap drinking water but no hot chocolate or biscuit. The room had an iron & ironing board but no hair dryer. Toiletries were a small soap & shower/bath gel (15ml?).
Unfortunately the gentleman next door intermittently coughed & snored so I didn't get much sleep which is obviously out of control of the hotel except for the thin walls.
The room heating wasn't on but there was a small adjustable heater. The bed was firmer than what I am used to (personal preference) the pillows were comfortable.
Would I pay £70 for one person for one night again there - no

The good thing was the sauna and hot tub and the space in the house. Guttering blocked so may at front door getting soaking wet.
Outside the house is surrounded by other properties
The house needs some refurbishment on dining chairs cutlery and plates. It needs protective covers for the beds and pillows and i expect more than one pillow each.
There are bit’s around the house that look tired. I didn’t feel it was value for money and the huge security deposit of £1000 is steep. The grill should have been clean and then not send the cleaners until lunchtime the next day. This basic things like the tin opener not working and only 2 tea towels made it feel more budget.

This mobile home Violet 28 is located in a corner of the Oakdene Forest Park. From the kitchen table you look into the forrest, which is very beautiful. It is more a house than a mobile home with much more space than any hotel room I have ever had. And it has everything you need, including lovely decoration. I would definitely book it again.
I would say the hotel exceeds expectations. The rooms are simple but spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The whole hotel is well cared for and not in the least 'tired'. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The 'all you can eat' breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of quality ingredients, well cooked.
Felt like a home away from home. Such a great alternative to a hotel when traveling for work. Julie was lovely and accommodating. Lovely to have outdoor space as well. Every little detail was just perfect. Thank you.
