Nice rooms,very clean. Excellent staff.
Right next to A1 so perfect for our long journey up to Scotland. Lots of adjacent parking and electric charge points.
Very reasonable price.
Located in the seaside town of Dunbar, The Royal Mackintosh is just 2 minutes’ walk from Dunbar Rail Station. There is an on-site restaurant, and limited free parking is available.
Wasn't there for long as on a work trip. But did manage to take a stroll along the high street, which was full of independent businesses, which was great to see given the state of UK towns. Would have like to have spent a bit more time exploring the vicinity.

The weekend away was my son and his partner a gift for his 21st, they loved dunbar and thought it was a lovely place and the local food establishments were very good, walks were very enjoyable, sadly didn't get a chance to get to the beach near the hotel(Due to weather) but the east coast beaches are all very nice, dunbar is a lovely little town, would stay again at the dunmuir hotel.

Fix the toilet seat and put improved lighting in.
Fix the toilet seat and put improved lighting in. The walls in the rooms were painted dark colour's, which made the room darker than it needed to be, lighting design was poor creating inadequate lighting.
The dark colour made the room feel smaller too.
The location of the hotel was fabulous, going for walks was safe and interesting and the locals were approachable- felt very safe indeed.
Retail community was vibrant despite the age of the buildings ,welcoming and friendly. Comfortable walking distance from the hotel, likewise the acces to the rail.

A really attractive little fishing town with an amazing history . It is well placed with bus and train links and this is particularly useful if you want to visit Edinburgh . You get cheaper and higher quality of accommodation for your money and you can leave your car behind and not face parking charges - that’s if you manage to find a space! Ian at Dreamhaven actually comes from East Lothian and this is a bonus . He needs to consider his prices . They are too cheap for what he offers !

Very well kept, pretty seaside town with harbour and long stretch of sandy beach. There is a regular train service to Edinburgh (approx 20 mins) so it is easy to go and spend a day exploring the city. Good coffee shops on the high street (particularly Parkers) and a couple of local craft shops (e.g. The Makery and Found). There are lovely coastal walks especially the one round the cliff but beware on a windy day it can be quite a battle getting round!

Dunbar is a lovely place to visit - lovely walk from the town to Belhaven Bay. Like most wee towns nowadays the town centre is a wee bit tired but there's everything you need and on a good day it's hard to beat. Great for children....the harbour area and beach are clean and well looked after

Fantastic location: the sea-view from the hotel is breathtakingly stunning. A short stroll leads you to the old harbour which is most scenic and invites to spend some time there. In addition, the hotel as as close as one can get to the coastal trail which provides ample opportunity for long walks along the coastline or even a gentle run for miles on end. Breakfast: good variety and quality. Dinner: excellent and good value for money. Staff: very friendly, helpful and hands on.
A characterful and charming old building, centrally located in the pretty little town of Dunbar. The room was comfortable and clean, if a little old fashioned in styling. Independently run by the friendly and welcoming staff, with a great selection on the breakfast menu and a cosy bar to end the day in.
A very nice house in an excellent location, near the supermarket and a super garden centre and pub/restaurant which you could walk to. Comfortable and cosy house which was very well equipped. Dunbar is a super location for a break. Lots to do and great walks by the sea with fantastic views.
Comfortable big bed, lovely decor, bath tub, which was ideal, lovely location. Pleasant staff, never dined so can't comment on food. Overall lovely hotel, value for money.
