The staff were awesome, the room 218/bathroom were both very spacious and clean, beautifully decorated, quiet, and very safe. We paid extra for reserved parking which made it easy.

The Fleece is conveniently located on the main street in Cirencester. We had asked for a quiet room and received a reply that we would have a quiet room in the back of the building. But what we were given was a room at the very top peak in the front of the hotel on a busy street. We requested another room and were given a room above the kitchen where the kitchen fan ran all night. They told us there were no other rooms. While the bed was comfortable, it was almost impossible to sleep listening to the rumble below us. The bathroom looked nothing like the photos online. Wish I had taken a photo, but it was old with a step-up shower and louvered doors. Not clean or modern. If you can get a room with a bath like the online photos, I suppose this might be an acceptable hotel.

Cirencester is a nice town . A pretty high st with lots of individual shops cafes and restaurants. And a couple if market days too . It has a mixture of old and new buildings so isn’t as pretty of some of the other smaller towns. Villages in the Cotswolds but a Good place to have a base .

Cirencester is a very pretty old town.
Cirencester is a very pretty old town. There is a market in the market square on a Monday and Friday every week and it is a much better market than you will find in other locations. There are plenty of very nice coffee shops. The museum is well worth a visit as is the garden, which isn't far from the museum. There are a lot of little boutiques and a large antique shop just down from the square.

Cirencester is a beautiful market town with lots of lovely shops, particularly many individual shops. It has lots of lovely cafes, traditional pubs and good restaurants. Its seems a very well kept and clean town with a lot of history and charming buildings. The main church is worth a visit. Cirencester is quintessentially a traditional English town that has kept its history and charm.

We stayed at the Fleece in Cirencester which was lovely...
We stayed at the Fleece in Cirencester which was lovely although it has not got a lift so mobility issues would be a problem for some people,
the food was very good, but we did try the Black Horse as well which was very nice and Leon was very helpful and friendly.
We were on an Ancestry visit to Daglingworth as my Grandfathers Family Home was there, we had an interesting trip to the Church yard and surrounding area.
Biberry is very picturesque but very busy with tourists.
Stow on the Wold was very quaint with lovely shops.
We went to the wildlife park which was beautiful with the animals and the gardens, wonderful facilities.
Diddly Squat was actually closed when we came across it so went back on the Thursday and it was heaving, as it was so queued up and sweltering we didn't stop, toilet facilities were not good as only two ladies toilets and the Farm shop was quite small.
The surrounding villages are all in keeping and very pretty, I would definitely recommend a trip there.
Hopefully we will have longer next time to look further a field.

We liked everything about the hotel: the decor, cleanliness, location (near town centre and nature reserve), very friendly and professional staff, value for money, extra touches (such as water and milk in the fridge supplied every day, coffee machine making lovely coffee, etc.) and amazing breakfast!
We had a dinner in the hotel's restaurant and it was a great experience too.
What we really like was the attention to detail - well done Ingleside House staff!
This was a family party to celebrate our Golden Wedding. It was important that we and all our guests had a good time. In fact we all had a really great time. The bedrooms, the room for the party, the staff, the meal itself and all the hotel facilities were first class and we are so grateful to the Stratton House Hotel for delivering a wonderful weekend in every way.
My wife and I don't see how any aspect of the whole stay could possibly have been improved.
We love this hotel! We have been there with our kids & Labrador and I have just come back from a fab girls weekend away there! It’s big, lots of facilities, lovely breakfast, friendly reception staff, lovely rooms…especially the ones overlooking the Lake. Marie (Maria!), one of the Managers was absolutely exceptional. She makes you feel like it is a top 5 star hotel!
Room 7 is at the top of the building, lots of beams, it's a lovely family room for three.
Very friendly and efficient staff, a good breakfast, excellent beer at the bar and all dog friendly. Location is an easy and lovely short walk into the town centre. Lots of room to park at the rear of the hotel.
