Mac and his wife (Paulina I think) were fantastic. Our group took up the whole hotel and we were welcomed cordially immediately. Mac couldn't have done more for us! Breakfast was ordered the night before and it was v good.

Stunning location. Lovely room with an amazing view and great people looking after us. Everyone went out of their way for us, and we really appreciated the welcome and level of service we received.

A lovely town full of friendly people with lots going on.
A lovely town full of friendly people with lots going on. I visited while the fair was on and the place was lively and buzzing with positive energy. I visited some of the local shops and particularly recommend Coffee #1 for its friendly staff and acceptance of dogs and Cardigan Curiosities for its vintage stock and lovely staff - also dog friendly. And the baguette shop but I can't remember its name! Fabulous.

Location was great, there was a lovely walk in the Wildlife Reserve (worth a visit). The Castle grounds were nice too, overlooking the river and at the bottom of the high street.
Had food at the Italian across the road from the castle as told it is popular with the locals: 5/10 food wasn't that good - had better in Pizza Express.
Had Food at the Printworks - a tappas sort of place - very nice, but a little pricy for what you got. = 8/10 Need to book though as is popular and is in the Michelin guide.
Had food in the Copper Pot along the high street - mainly because we couldn't find anywhere else - and had a surpisingly good meal for the money. =8/10
One thing to note: apart from "Coffee One" there are no chains, apart from Greggs - no Nero, Costa, etc - which we found a nice aspect to the town.
Pubs, though, were not great if you like real ale: for that you need to head out to the Ferry Inn in St Dogmaels, but be aware it doesn't open until 3pm

We had a drink in The Red Lion where the locals and staff were friendly and helpful, the local taxi firm, Home James, were really reliable and I had my hair done at Salon Fach in the arcade off the High Street, where the stylist was really lovely. Also breakfast at Crwst was very good 😊

Cardigan has some independent shops and eating places.
Cardigan has some independent shops and eating places. (Crwst serves a brilliant brunch) . The town is scenic, overlooking the river and has it's own castle. The theatre is in town and shows films and has live performances. We saw a great comedy act one evening. It has friendly pubs. It is close to numerous sights where you can see nature and wildlife close by; the Wildlife centre is just across the bridge; Cardigan Island trail is great and Mwnt beach is beautiful, with promise of sightings of seals, dolphins and birdlife, such gannets and choughs . It's great to hear Welsh spoken by people in Cardigan town and it's surrounding areas. Cardigan has a community that seems to be kind to each other. We will be back soon.

We liked Poppit Sands beach, which is good for dogs and if you like walking. There are a few nice pubs in Saint Dogmaels area. Cardigan Castle is interesting and has lots of history. We would recommend going there, as it's one of our favourite places. We had food in Mannucci's Italian restaurant in Cardigan town centre. The food is lovely there. It's easy to get around Cardigan, as it's not a big place. I like the fact that there are some independent shops there that you don't get in other places. The local wildlife centre is good for families with young children. Cardigan Bay is a lovely place to come on holiday, if you would like tranquility.

The Teifi Waterside Hotel was a special piece of luck. Western Wales was our plan, no idea where to go. Cardigan, cute town, coastal vistas.
The Waterfront Hotel has a spectacular location, amazing views.
Impressive (large) rooms, good bar/restaurant and easy onsite parking.
Walked in, loved it, booked extra night.
Staff were great, good service & local knowledge.
Perfect base for exploring Cardigan Bay and the beaches of west Wales. The shepherds hut was lovely and cosy, ideal for a couple and well equipped with everything you need. We had lots of BBQs and relaxing hot tub dips. Ginnie was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back!
Breakfast was good quality food. The view from dining room is over the bay and would be the envy of many hotels.
We had dinner on two evenings, with good choices on the menu. The standard double room was adequate, and the bed comfortable. The large shower was a lovely surprise.
