This could be a great place. Location perfect. Hotel is situated perfectly for exploring Bury and it's fab market. Also just minuets away from lovely scenic drives. Loved the pool, one of the nicest I've been to at a hotel. Staff were very friendly and room was cleaned every day. Water and heating always hot, fab shower.

Home away from home, hotel in Bury

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Home away from home is set in Bury, 8.5 km from Heaton Park and 15 km from Manchester Arena.

The furniture is my kind of taste. The availability of toilets and showers upstairs and downstairs. I liked that they accepted my daughter’s cat to come with us for Christmas. The host was easily reachable and polite. I was nice and warm in the house. Loved being given free WiFi. The host offered to lend me jump leads when my car wouldn't start. The host posted my electric pan leads that I had left in the kitchen. I will certainly be using the place again. I loved the neat garden.

checking process, was charged three parking's by mistake of the person trying to help me check-in as when I arrived there was no staff there and I was alone to try figure it out myself, also ordered room service and the web page said failed after two orders but charged my card each time so ended up paying 3 times for food but was issued refund at the bar but I had to go down and sort this out myself, also needed the physical card i used to get the refund which was annoying as nowadays everything is done virtually. Felt like a scam to be honest

We visit Bury regularly to see relatives.

We visit Bury regularly to see relatives. The surrounding area and parks are very good, scenery quite dramatic - bleak in places. A lot of history from the industrial revolution and textile mills. Enjoyed visiting the station and seeing the vintage trains, still being used. Disappointed that Bury market is only open a few days each week, we could not go in the indoor market & shopping areas with the dog.

Bury is pleasant, there is enough to do, restaurants and pubs, walking and some shopping. We were there for work so we did not have much time to look around and the weather was awful so no chance of walking far either.

Bury Town Centre has plenty of good shops and the famous Bury Market is worth a visit. Ramsbottom is a pretty village ( not far from the Eagle and Child) and venture out a little bit to Whitefield for good restaurants.

I go to Bury for the East Lancashire Railway and usually go for the Summer Diesel Gala. Some interesting place and a good variety of pubs, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. There is also the market and museums.

The room was bigger than we expected and very clean the view was nice. the restaurant was nice. staff were very helpful before we even arrived at Hotel. The basket of breakfast was a little bonus, and the later checkout was good. This was value for money and we would book again if we were to go back to Bury.

We liked the convenience of it being in the centre of Bury Town centre. The room was just what we needed. The only thing I would say is that it needed a fridge. Our room was lovely and spacious and it was easy to access the building.

I wasn't happy. I have stayed in many Village hotels and this one is nowhere near up to standard. It was like a knocking shop / orgy on the floor above, numerous people in and out doing the business. Not nice at all.
