Donkey May Cottage, Broadstairs, hotel in Broadstairs

Offering a garden, Donkey May Cottage, Broadstairs features accommodations in Broadstairs. With garden views, this accommodation offers a terrace.

Convenient location near the beach but the street wasn't too noisy (we have white noise for the kids and weren't disturbed by any outside noise at all). The house was well kitted out with cot/ high chair available and lots of beach equipment that we were able to borrow. Milk in the fridge ready for us to use was also helpful. We were lucky we were able to check in a bit early as the house was ready when we arrived which was great.

It was November, so, although the beach looked lovely is kind of irrelevant. Best bit was the lovely walks along the sea front away from cars and the FANTASTIC choices of restaurants, cafes and bars. Nice big amusement arcade. Lovely plant shop. Great place to MOOCH

Beautiful quintessential English seaside town with some excellent restaurants and an incredible gelato store. This is the first time we have stayed but it certainly won't be our last. The Jetty and Albarino Tapas are recommended eating places as is Morelli's Gelato for the best ice cream ever!

Broadstairs was perfect for our walking holiday.

Broadstairs was perfect for our walking holiday. We stayed at The Bay Studio 2, Leybourn Rd. Perfect accommodation and location. A nice walk along the coast into town. Great restaurants. The Charles Dickens has an upstairs restaurant with a fantastic view. We had lovely oysters at Kebbells. Nice walk along the beach (at low tide) into Ramsgate. Great views.

    We love Broadstairs!

We love Broadstairs! Beautiful beaches and quirky shops and cafes. We had a gorgeous, mainly flat walk with a couple of gentle gradient hills ( and step free) along the cliffs to Ramsgate. Was v enjoyable and there's a little cafe midway. We had a lovely dinner in The Charles Dickins Pub ( great seaviews from upstairs) Bleak House is striking but unfortunately not open to the public as privately owned. There is a Dickens Museum though next to the pub. Check opening hours as shut Monday Tuesday when we were there.

Broadstairs is a friendly seeside town which boasts a variety of beaches. There are many lovely restaurants, as well as a couple of ice cream parlours to choose from. As it is quite compact, everything is easily accessable. We enjoyed walking along the coastal path up to Joss Bay to visit the lighthouse and the famous chalk stacks. We also had fun at the minigolf park!

If you are planning to stay in Broadstairs, there is no better location. It is literally in the hub of the activity and overlooks the coastline. It is a very pet friendly hotel and the breakfast was faultless, (slight delay due to being busy aside). No hesitation in recommending.
