Gateway to The Glens, hotel in Ballymena

Gateway to The Glens is located in Ballymena, just 22 miles from SSE Arena, Belfast and 22 miles from The Waterfront Hall. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking, and free Wifi.

My family absolutely loved this property. I addition to the breathtaking views, we were also treated to a sunny, warm day where we sat on the patio and just soaked in the beauty of Ballymena. Our accommodations were perfect and was full of little touches like tea in the cupboard and toiletries in the bathroom. John & Jacqui we’re also on site and were very warm and friendly. We could have stayed forever!

Lisnafillan Lodge, hotel in Ballymena

Offering garden views, barbecue facilities, and free Wifi, Lisnafillan Lodge is located in Ballymena, 30 miles from SSE Arena, Belfast and 30 miles from The Waterfront Hall.

Cozy country cottage. Immaculate. Welcoming treats like a loaf of bread ready to cut with fridge stocked with cheese, butter, jam and milk. Lovely fireplace and wood was provided. House was cheerfully decorated for Christmas. Jacqui was a super host, responding quickly to any questions and also accommodated us generously allowing for an early check in after we’d arrived from a red eye flight into Dublin and two hour car ride, so we were able to settle in and have a rest. Highly recommend.

Blackberry Barn, hotel in Ballymena

Blackberry Barn is a recently renovated vacation home in Ballymena where guests can make the most of the garden and terrace.

It was difficult to enjoy anything due to the filthiness and lack of effort on the owners part to make it an acceptable and comfortable stay.

The village of Broughshane is close to the house and has a Spar, although that does not sell any alcohol. There are 2 fish and chip shops and a pub that we ate in once which was nice. Ballymena has the big supermarkets if you need more than the Spar has to offer. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, everywhere we went was very clean, no litter and people were all friendly. Not far in a car to the coastal road which is a great drive, some lovely beaches and the Giant's Causeway. We all thought that we will think about going back again as it was so good.

Comfortable, friendly and everyone here helpful. Breakfast was good, and plentiful. Happily managed Decaf tea and normal tea on the same table. Evening food also very plentiful, and good. Sufficiently good we ate there most evenings. Nice lounge/ bar area, with live music on Saturday evening - but pleasingly this was NOT audible when we returned to our room. One of those places that appears to be a local 'hub'. Parking is reasonable, at there back of the hotel, and they have charging for electric vehicles.

The location was really good, close to town centre but quiet at same time. I already knew Ballymena very well, it was great to be back.
