The hotel was what we expected. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Very conveniently located. It worked perfectly for our family of 4. We stayed in the family room which was wonderful because we didn't have to pay for 2 separate rooms to fit us all.

As we were only staying one night, we unfortunately didnt get to see Ayr, and what it has to offer.
But we would love to return, and stay longer, so we could enjoy some of the surrounding activities, and historical sites.

A slightly run down town that I believe is undergoing some investment which will be great for the area. Some parts are super and have some good upmarket bars and restaurants- The Drunken Coo was great for food. Be good to revisit to see it have a boost.

Good bars and restaurants.
Good bars and restaurants. Station needs someone to provide more information
Shops that are closed for good are unkempt and spoil the high street. Ayr used to be so clean and thriving but it's a sign of the times
The hotel was easy to find and is within walking distance of the town centre. There is onsite free parking. The building was undergoing some refurbishment outside. We had an issue with the allocated room (skylight had a number of wasps/bees flying around). Staff changed us to another (I believe upgraded) room unprompted - good service. Breakfast is not buffet, but waiter served.
For a "budget" hotel, this was exceptional. Very clean and had all the facilities we required for a short break. The staff are very friendly. The welcome was warm both from them and the many locals who use the smashing wee bar. That real cask ales were on sale from the on-site Ayr Brewing Company was an added bonus for us.
The Staff were very helpful, courteous and polite. The location was excellent directly across from the Esplanade & beach. Closeness to town centre. Hotel clean tidy, peaceful ambiance. Cost very comparible locally. Have stayed at both the Mercure and Premier Inn, Ayr but this surpassed both. Highly recommended.
This is a 3 star hotel in the centre of Ayr with 4 star staff. Being disabled and elderly, the receptionist was happy to change my booking to a wet room as the hotel only have showers over the bath. At breakfast, again the staff were very obliging and offered to give us table service which we gladly accepted.
A great hotel in a lovely location. Friendly staff, comfortable room, a huge bed. An enjoyable breakfast. Would highly recommend and re visit when in Ayr. An unexpected delight after three OKish nights in Ireland.
