We all thought the rooms needed updating, the one room smelt very muskey, when I booked the rooms it said they were all single beds, but it was 1 single and 1 double bed in each room, the web sight needs changing to be clearer on how the rooms are planned out.
The choice for breakfast was good.

Had a mirror. Inn/hotel placed in a great situation. Just that most restaurants that were praised online were actually bankrupt/not serving food or closed for the days hours earlier.

Myself, sister, son and niece arrived late in the evening but didn't stop us going for an adventure with our phone torches. What a stunning building on stunning grounds. The gent in reception couldn't do enough to help us, he was brilliant.
We enjoyed getting back having a coffee and playing Jenga in the games room.
We loved that we had our own plug and light above our bunk beds.

A lovely town, beautifully situated at the edge of the Peak district. Nice shops, a good museum and some excellent places to eat. We ate at The Horns pub twice and it was outstanding, three breakfasts at Cafe Impromptu (also outstanding), and also the George and Dragon (Very good). A nice town with a good vibe.

Fabulous town but needs greater footfall and a greater number of quality galleries etc. All the basic shops are available and great cafes but just feels like things might go down hill if the visitor numbers don’t improve.

Small cute place.
Small cute place. Great genuinely Gluten Free and affordable Thai Restaurant in the center called 'Thai Basement' (01335 300305). Cute cellar based restaurant. Don't let the tiny door leading down to it put you off, it's a gem!

Lovely, charming little town, St.
Lovely, charming little town, St. Oswald's church is amazing to visit. The little Historical Centre is also a must to learn about the Ashbourne Shrovetide Football, and the Memorial Park was lovely too.
Easy access to the Tissington Trail is from the centre of Ashbourne, but sadly a substantial length of it was closed for our visit due to Ash Tree felling. This is due to continue well into December.
Short drive to Dovedale NT Nature reserve, but the river was in quite a full spate due to the recent rain so access to the Stepping Stones were limited. Ilam Park was a good alternative place to visit however.
We had an Anniversary meal at The Lamplight which was exceptionally good, and we had excellent lunches at Jack Rabbit's and Beaumont's.
We also had a couple of beers in the lovely Queen's Vaults which is a very cosy Craft Beer bar, as well as an excellent pint of Draught Bass in the Wheel Inn, where we were welcomed by the very friendly locals.

The hotel and grounds are stunning. A lot of detail has gone in to the furnishings. The communal areas were accessible and lovely to sit in.
Bed was comfy, shower was clean and modern.
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant/bar was lovely, the food and service was excellent!
Definitely an expensive stay but it does feel very luxurious.
Absolutely stunning location, the food quality in the dining room was really good. We arrived later than expected due to traffic and they kindly kept the kitchen open for us which was very much appreciated. The beds were super comfy too and had a great night's sleep. I'd definitely recommend the hotel if you need somewhere to stay around this area.
Wonderfully comfortable in a great location and provided everything we required. Very cozy with a lovely garden area. In a quiet location but central to Ashbourne. Would book again. Best place to park for free is in the Pavilion car park adjacent to the park on Cokayne Avenue about 3 minutes from the house.
Very lovely bed and breakfast place. Additional thanks to a lovely host Tina who was very pleasant and helpful.
P. S.: That is the spot, where you could try Full Derbyshire breakfast, which is included in a price ))))
