Beautiful town, we only stayed one night the food was excellent in a local restaurant.

Langres has history, some of which has been sorely neglected. It is the birthplace of Diderot. Langres is on the case. I think it has huge potential. I hope it is can build on it's past as a significant place of learning and Dierot's legacy, without comprising it's local character and facility.
Bon Chance!

We only stayed in Langres as a stop over en route to the south of France, but found that it is a wonderful city with a long history, encircled by old city walls, and with many interesting landmarks. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the city walls and though the old streets.

Arrived with only a little time before it became un staffed hotel for the night. Rushed in our booking & also booked breakfast. Then realised it was to late for us to eat as we had to leave early in the am to catch Le Shuttle. Cancelled it but couldn't have tge £ directly refunded on our card & had to fill in some paperwork. Over 6 weeks ago & we still haven't received this refund. Please can booking.com chase this up & sort. Thank you.

This is a small busy walled town one of the finest you will ever see The ramparts can be fully walked and kept in excellent condition. A superb cathedral and several museums are worth a visit and punch above their weight for the size of town. Not over touristy but appreciated by those who care to visit.

Without much time we managed a look around the cathedral which was very interesting and prayerful. The rest of the town had many other attractions to explore which we shall put to one side awaiting a return visit.

We arrived in the dark & left before daylight, so not best placed to review the town, apart from an excellent local bar/restaurant that was able to accomodate 11 at very short notice for a very good supper!

A warm and friendly welcome from this small family-run hotel right in the middle of Langres. Booked as a one night stopover, breaking a long drive down to the Alps. We liked the dinner we had in the restaurant, and there was a good range of options on offer at the continental breakfast the following morning too (10 euros per adult; children free). We liked being able to park the car in the walled/secure area behind the hotel. We liked the setup of the family room we had with its two adjoining bedrooms.
This really lovely hotel is located in Langres Citadel walls .. we have stayed here many times and it’s always a pleasure. clean and comfortable, lots of parking and lots of facilities - it is a great location for the high street restaurants and our go-to stopping point for our U.K. - Alps - U.K. trips … highly recommended..
The easyness of automatic check in beyond working hours; the comfort of the room in general, the bathroom, the bed (not the cushion), the area of public parking just in front; only if you have time to visit Langres (which is an outstandingly beautiful fortified city in the core of France), the location is perfect.
It was very clean and had all the facilities you need in a perfect location as we travelled to south of France. It had secure parking and the communications with the owner were so good.
