Langres has history, some of which has been sorely neglected. It is the birthplace of Diderot. Langres is on the case. I think it has huge potential. I hope it is can build on it's past as a significant place of learning and Dierot's legacy, without comprising it's local character and facility. Bon Chance!

We only stayed in Langres as a stop over en route to the south of France, but found that it is a wonderful city with a long history, encircled by old city walls, and with many interesting landmarks. Arrived with only a little time before it became un staffed...
Arrived with only a little time before it became un staffed hotel for the night. Rushed in our booking & also booked breakfast. Then realised it was to late for us to eat as we had to leave early in the am to catch Le Shuttle. Cancelled it but couldn't have tge £ directly refunded on our card & had to fill in some paperwork. Over 6 weeks ago & we still haven't received this refund. Please can booking.com chase this up & sort. Thank you.McNeill - Scored 1010

This is a small busy walled town one of the finest you will ever see The ramparts can be fully walked and kept in excellent condition. A superb cathedral and several museums are worth a visit and punch above their weight for the size of town. Booked as a one night stopover, breaking a long drive down to the Alps. We liked the dinner we had in the restaurant, and there was a good range of options on offer at the continental breakfast the following morning too (10 euros per adult; children free).
