I liked the location, being elevated and short walk into town, and very close to the National Art Museum. The hotel had a fresh contemporary vibe and loved the painting done by Faroe Island artist Edward Fuglo over our bed. Also appreciated the wine hour and found the lobby cozy and charming. Buffet breakfast was good though I would have loved to have some bagels with cream cheese to use with the fantastic salmon. I found the staff very helpful especially one young lady who helped us out with delivering our pizza and getting us a portable heater.

Torshavn is a small town concentrated on the port area.
Torshavn is a small town concentrated on the port area. It still has its medieval street pattern and many interesting quirky old buildings that are still in use. Everything is in walking distance with a few steep sections. The people are friendly and there is a decent choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs for such a small town.

The city and the surrounding area should be on everyone's list. Beautiful neat clean town with nice museums and music! I wasn't there long enough to enjoy it all. Tours to the beautiful countryside a must do.

Very cute old town, good food, friendly people, cool harbor. What isn't to like about Torshavn? Perhaps the weather, it is grey, cool, and wet even in July. If you want to escape summer heat, or just visit the edge of the world, this is a great place.

Torshavn is the capital city of the Faroe Islands but do not consider as a big city. The population is only 13000. This a peaceful place without any heavy traffic. Local people friendly and helpful and speak English! You can find loads of activities for yourself and your family.

Small harbour town with restaurants and pubs.
Small harbour town with restaurants and pubs. It is not a shopping town. There are some shops and a "small" mall a bit out of the centre of the town.
However the oldest part of the town is very beautiful (but also pretty little)
Good restaurants where we were in Torshavn.

A very cosy, picturesque small town with very friendly and easy going people. All red buses (within the municipality of Torshavn) are free. Very easy to travel around to see some of the surrounding areas, i.e. Kyrkjebøur. A lovely park just north of the centre. You don´t need more than a couple of days to see the town, but recommend to book an island full day guided tour to see some spectacular scenery. Also recommend a trip out of Torshavn on your own and take the ferry to the island of Nólsoy just oposite Torshavn. Go for a walk to the northern tip and have a meal and a drink or two at Maggies café.

The apartment was perfect for our travel group of four friends. It is a cozy place to stay between activities on the Faroe Islands. We could park our car right in front of our house, which we've used to explore the islands. The owners were quick to answer if we had questions beforehand, during, or after our stay. We took the ferry from Denmark and could "check in" early and leave late as the ferry arrived in the morning and left in the evening.
Location was pretty central was not really that far to walk to most places in torshavn bus station about 10mins from hotel yoy check inn online and download the app and you get your key code sent to you so you cant go straight to your room and can check out without going to the desk by putting a sign on the door saying you have left just a usual continental breakfast scrambled eggs bacon hard boiled eggs bread meat and cheese.
-cozy and large apartment with everything you need for stay for couple of friends
-nice big living room for time together and nice view from it
-smart TV for long night after hikes
-good location to discover Faroe islands
-reasonable price (in respect of Faroe Islands)
Hotel 62N is in a great location, right in the centre of Torshavn. We arrived on the ferry from Denmark and walked to the hotel in 10 minutes. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good.
