The breakfast was incredible - I especially like the berries which were not overly sweet, and the small rice pies, and the flavour of the coffee was noteable too. I paid an additional ten euro for a room with a bath and liked the efficient taps and water flow. Everything was very comfortable. I really liked the receptionist - I wish I had taken better note of her name. She was new to the position but her manner was really lovely, friendly and something else that I would term confident but not in an overbearing way, and this helped to cement my overall impression that I had chosen the right place for my one night stay. I was really happy.

Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. The relatively short-lived summer offers the best chance to appreciate the outdoors and sit on one of the popular café terraces, or even hit the Hietaniemi Beach, all of which can be enjoyed during the 20 hours of daylight.
Strolling around the streets of Helsinki will reveal an Empire-style of architecture, comparable to St. Petersburg. The greatest example of this is the green-domed Lutheran Cathedral which rises proudly out of the centre of Senate Square.
From here the main shopping street of Aleksanterinkatu, affectionately known as Aleksi, runs towards Mannerheimintie and contains the largest department store in Scandinavia, called Stockmann. The up-market boulevard of Esplanadi runs alongside and is packed with exclusive boutiques.
Lovers of Nordic design will be thrilled by the Design Museum and the Ateneum Art Museum. Nature is in abundance on the beautiful archipelago which lies along the coast. A must-see is the Baltic fortress of Suomenlinna, where you just might forget you’re in a big city.

There is no kosher restaurant in Helsinki. They have frozen meat in K-supermarket Kamppi, and between the stalls near the harbour during the daylight there is a stall with fried fish and potatoes only, which is essentially kosher and very tasty.

I did not know what to expect of Helsinki and I was pleasantly surprised. There was a lot more to do and see and now I wish I had planned a slightly longer stay. It was also super convenient to do a day trip to Tallinn which I did.

The public transportation system is great.
The public transportation system is great. I loved the walking/biking path around the city. There are many options for shopping and dining. We did a walking tour first thing to get a lay of the land. The ferry to Tallinn, Estonia is a must. The people are quietly friendly and welcoming of tourists.

To enjoy Helsinki I think visitors need to read up about the history of the city and Finland. Casual tourists with little education are unlikely to appreciate what the city and the country have to offer

I loved shopping both in shopping centre and the cosy little shops that are all over Helsinki. Second hand stores are great and Finish Design is so cool.
The harbour area and swimming pool and sauna was a great experience:)
The rooms are very nice, very well equipped and look like brand new! You also can use the common kitchen and other areas if you like. The communication is convenient between the airport and the hotel and the city center. I could see myself staying here also for longer period (during a business trip for example).
The breakfast price is reasonable at the hotel. The location is good because we could easily access any important facilities from the location (Embassies, City Center, Airport..). I have stayed for a week, they did try to arrange the booking within a room so that we could have the most space as we could.
Breakfast is good. The location is perfect and next to the central station. The room is small with old doors. Good budget stays at the city center. The staff is good and They gave us a packed Breakfast when we have early check out.
Over all good hotel.
Friendly, professional staff. A clean and conveniently located, city center hotel. Tram station and taxi ranks in front of the hotel. Convenience store and fast food close by. Walking distance to bus and train stations, shops, museum, etc.
Breakfast was really good, especially in the weekends. Location is perfect towards the city center and the tourist sightseeing places. Great restaurant in the area of the hotel. 10 min walk to the city center.
