Hotel Tugasa Convento San Francisco, hotel in Vejer de la Frontera

Hotel Tugasa Convento San Francisco is a former Franciscan monastery, dating back to the 17th century. It is located in the centre of the ancient Andalusian town of Vejer de la Frontera.

The remnants of the convent were interesting. The staff were very helpful and friendly, although the lack of English led to a few misunderstandings. The restaurant was excellent.

Casas Andrea La Cueva, hotel in Vejer de la Frontera

Set in Vejer de la Frontera, 36 km from Novo Sancti Petri Golf, 23 km from Benalup Golf & Country Club and 27 km from Club de Golf Campano, Casas Andrea La Cueva offers accommodation with a terrace...

Andrea waited for me even if I arrived in the middle of the night, she answered her phone all evening in a few minutes, it was highly appreciated. The house is so much better than on the photos, the bathroom is stunning with candles and wooden psyché, antic mirrors, arabic lamps… the bed was very confortable and it was not humid like I read, there are two machines to retain the humidity. Also plugs against mosquitoes. Kitchen had olive oil, salt, coffee, tea, sugar, honey, aluminum foils, paper… all those things that you do not have on airbnb anymore. Thank you !! I also loved the yard and its thousands plants and flowers. The house is 50m from the plaza españa. Also thank you for accepting my dog. I will gladly come back and bring my parents, they will love it.

Vejer de la Frontera is a delightful place steeped in history set atop a hill. Prepare for steep walks through narrow streets. In October we found many restaurants closed or only open certain days or only for dinner. It is a lovely place to get away from it all for a few days.

It is one of the best villages of Andalusia. It was our third time there. This is an autentical "Pueblo blanco" with an amazing view for the sea. You have a lot of restaurantes, typical shops, and very cozy streets to walk.

Vejer is a quaint, white village in Andalusia.

Vejer is a quaint, white village in Andalusia. An excellent tour can be purchased on Voicemap for less than 6 Euros. It is filled with a wealth of history and culture of Vejer. The App works amazingly well allowing us to browse a shop that we came across and then continuing after we left the shop. The guide is Carlos Milburn. Unless one has mobility issues the car can be parked and visitors can walk through the town throughout their stay. There are many restaurants, cafes, etc. to choose from. Be aware of holidays when visiting Vejer as all the shops, etc shutter. Except for peak tourist season even the restaurants might not be serving food on a holiday.

The place is beautiful and there was a Jazz Festival during our visit. Parking the car was challenging, but our hotel offered us a taxi from the parking lot when we arrived. If you have health problems with your feet, I cannot recommend this city. Lots of steep hills, which are dangerous even for young people in the rain. The food was tasty and the people everywhere were really friendly!

Vejer de la Frontera is great for people wanting to chill out and just hang out in a peaceful place. It has many hills and stairs wherever you go, so grab comfortable shoes and some water, but it's worth it. Everyone is super friendly, and they don't mind helping you when you ask. It's not for the ones looking for parties and crazy nightlife, that's for sure. But if you want to relax and reflection, then this is the perfect place for it.

We love this cute town... the views from it are fantastic.

We love this cute town... the views from it are fantastic. There are many cute gift shops with clothes, wicker, jewellery, pictures, pottery, etc. There are a lot of shops selling artists' handicrafts, we could have spent a lot of money there! The restaurants are excellent with really gorgeous food, we definitely recommend Corderra 55. We visited Conil de la Frontera (17 minutes away) with a lovely beach. Also Zahara de los atunes and Barbate are only 20 minutes away. We will go back!

Very good location at the top of the village of Vejer and at walkable distance to the center. The hotel was cozy, comfortable room and very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant inside the hotel is modern and has good options for food and drinks and a nice terrace overlooking the street.

The room was probably the most romantic we've stayed in & the overall design of the hotel is really stunning. The view was spectacular and the location was perfect, very close to the old town but tucked away and very quiet. The staff (if you're lucky enough to spot one) were lovely but mainly absent.

The hotel is in an excellent location and a lot of thought and expense has obviously gone into its interiors - the common areas and reception are absolutely gorgeous. Beds were very comfortable too and the staff were lovely and very welcoming. Everywhere was pristine in terms of cleanliness.

The location is a bit out of the way but very nice and the hotel itself and the courtyards are lovely. The sheltered central courtyards with flowers and fountains are especially nice given that this is such a windy part of Spain.
