The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t eat in the hotel,so can’t comment on that. It’s about a 10 or 15 minute walk to the metro station where we caught the metro into the Old Town. Secure underground parking and only about 20 minutes from the ferry terminal. Would stay at this hotel again.
Set in the village of El Regato and next to the Castaños River, Adeko Hotel features a restaurant and a garden overlooking the surrounding hills. It offers attractive accommodation with free Wi-Fi.

They accepted dogs and told us where to go for a suitable walk.
They also gave information about where to get a meal that evening although rather end of season.

We liked of the location, close to the shopping centre and supermarkets.
B arakaldo is a bourough of Bilbao. IT is a good place to stay to visit the city. I was very impressed by the city, specially its architecture, both ancient/classic and modern. It definitely is worth a visit, say a week.

The hotel had recently been taken over by a new owner/...
The hotel had recently been taken over by a new owner/manager, so some of the facilities were not available (no restaurant as it was being refurbished). The bed was terribly soft, although I managed to sleep OK. It wasn't a difficult trip into the main part of Barakaldo (this was El Regato) either by car or by bus and there were many walkers the following day, following the river into town

It was cozy and authentic, close to nature. The staff was very kind and helpful. The juice machine at the breakfast is better than what you’ll get at a 4 star hotel - no kidding!
Great hotel. Lovely staff and decent pints. I found the location a great final stepping stone for the ferry back to Ireland. It was good for my dog 🐕 too.
