We loved the view from our apartment, looking over the sea to the playa del ingles beach and the maspalomas dunes. It was very quiet and peaceful there. We were staying in the Flores apartments and the facilities there were great.
Everything was provided. Washing up liquid, toiletries, extra towels, dishwasher tablets, tablets for the washing machine, plus a big bottle of water and a basket full of fruit to greet us when we arrived.
We also had bread every morning
The location was excellent with a choice of 2 supermarkets in the shopping mall along with a huge choice of bars and restaurants just across the road. The bus stop was a 5 minute walk away with a choice of buses

The location was just perfect. We didn't even need to put flip flops on top to go to the beach! It was lovely sitting on the balcony hearing the waves roll in. The beach was not busy at all during our stay which made relaxing and swimming in the sea even more enjoyable. There are some great restaurants within a 10 minute walk, and buses across the island are only a few minutes walk away. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious.

I had a wonderful stay at Vista Roja! The apartment was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the beach and local restaurants, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing escape. The hosts were friendly and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed. Perfect for a solo trip or a couple’s getaway—I’d definitely return!

San Augustin is a quiet resort. It's for people that want to take it easy and just chill out for a few days. It's very easy to walk around the different beaches there and not that far (about 30/40 minute walk) to Maspalomas. There are regular buses which run up and down the coast. The shopping centre in San Augustin has everything you need including 3 supermarkets and quite a few restaurants.

Acceptable, but I would not return..
Liked · It was acceptable for the most part
Disliked · The depth of all of the pools were really too much and unsuitable for children, children and even adults who are nervous swimmers. My son almost drowned on the third day and the lifeguard was chatting away to someone when he should’ve been noticing. The food was cold each day at the buffet and I found a Hair in my meal. Why oh why is there always such a queue for pancakes? Surely a hotel must know that this is one of the most popular items at breakfast and there should be ample amounts available without a queue where people were fighting to get a pancake. The only suitable pool that would’ve been good for my son who was only eight was on the rooftop which children were not allowed into. The step to get out of that pool which I myself used was detaching itself from the side of the pool which was a safety hazard. My mother is elderly and the plugs location were completely stupidly placed underneath the bedside lockers. She was unable to plug these in and I had to do this for her. The entertainment at night was pretty lame to be honest. Finally please put staff with excellent English on the front desk. Many struggled to understand what we were saying which was very irritating .

More harm is being done keeping it open and worn out whilst urgently required construction work is underway.
The Pool Area should not be a live Construction area whilst being used by customers with Children.
This is a 2star plus Hotel not 4.

San Augustin is right on 2 beautiful beaches & not so...
San Augustin is right on 2 beautiful beaches & not so crowded. I stayed at Corallium by Lopssan & this was a hotel right on the beach. Excellent hotel The whole area was quiet with good restaurants & small supermarkets too. I would recommend this place in the south of Grand Canary as the other beaches are very crowded. Good swim beach & very safe too

Due to changes in the hotel before the trip, I stayed in another accommodation in the end, which was Grupotel Tres Vidas offered by the company (I received all information well in advance). I had my own apartment even there, so I enjoyed it, the environment was calm. It was a good starting and ending point of my bicycle trips on the island.
Great option for food, super friendly staff, lots of activities for kids, and adults, short distance from airport with great net of busses. Close shops around hotel and inside as well. Will come back.
The hotel is large and has a number of pools to use, but has plenty of sun loungers to use. The pool is heated which is brilliant. It’s clean and comfortable and the rooms are good.
