The hotel is located at a great location - in the very center, close to the streets with restaurants and bars, but not in the too busy area. It felt safe to walk in the streets late in the evening. Beautiful and fascinating city. Layers and layers of history, reflected in the layout of the town and the architecture. Obviously, the Alhambra is the 'must see' and must be pre-booked - definitely take a tour, and don't miss the gardens. Best view of the Alhambra is from the top of the tower of San Nicolas across the valley. Also make sure you visit the Albaicin, the old Moorish town, which is really atmospheric and also full of delicious cakes! Prior to that, there's Roman remains - many of the older buildings along the river Darro date to that period, and the Museum of Archaeology is one of them and is exceptional value at €1.50 pp. Post-Moorish late Mediaeval history is full of proud Catholicism - kings and queens and churches (and torture!). Add onto that the fantastic food, bars and other alfresco dining and drinking fun, and there's just so much to enjoy. It's wonderful.

Granada is great for a city break.
Granada is great for a city break. It’s a compact city that can explored on foot. Beyond the obvious (and amazing) charms of the Alhambra, there’s a host of other historic buildings / parks to explore. The food is amazing - especially the free tapas! But beware of the August heat… we thought it would be ok but it is seriously hot. So either visit outside of august or find somewhere with a pool!

Always attend the Music and Dance Festival and never disappointed with the artists performing. The city is beautiful with lots of bars and terrific tapas. Bar La Sitarilla recommended if you can get in. Avila I and II both very good too. Lots of quiet places as well, some less well known ones worth checking out including the gardens of Carmen de los Martires. Can be very hot in the summer - it hit 42° while I was there! Most attractions easy to reach on foot, provided you can handle hilly parts. Always book your visit to The Alhambra to avoid disappointment.

A lovely city and great for a break of a few days.
A lovely city and great for a break of a few days. Lots of tourists arrive daily so staying overnight is nicer as you get tgd benefit of the less crowded evenings.
The Alhambra is well worth visiting but seeing it from the city at sunset is also majical.
What a charming hotel situated halfway up the hill to the Alhambra. We loved everything about it. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view out on to the street below. The tea and cake in the foyer on an afternoon was lovely. The best bit though was the roof top restaurant with views up to the Alhambra and over the town of Granada - utterly charming! The staff were helpful and the hotel was a welcome oasis after a busy day of sightseeing.
Great location, central to all the sights, easy access bus routes, close to Albaicin, good restaurants. Rooms were roomy, AC, double glazed, so no noise disruption. Bed was super comfy. Shower good. Breakfast fab, amazing breakfast area with lots of character. Reception really helpful and friendly and available 24hr. Really nice boutique hotel, there for 3 nights and had a perfect stop in Granada.
The room was cosy and clean. Even though we live in Spain for years already, here we had the best ever toast for the breakfast. The meat slices were cut by the hotel staff from the bone directly before us, so as fresh as it can be. We had a great time.
This is an outstanding hotel so close to everything you want to see in Granada! The room, the spa, the alfresco - all wonderful. Most of all the staff are amazing! A special mention to Balini in the spa who gave me the best massage EVER!
the hotel was magical! best located in Granada and it was a charm. the staff was very helpful with my questions and the room was comfy and fully equipped with what ever you needed
