Remember that museums and places of interest are closed on Mondays. However plenty of things to see and do and a very easy, flat city, particularly the old part, to walk around. The open top tour bus well worth doing but be aware when one of the large cruise ships is in dock, it can be very busy everywhere. Restaurant staff everywhere were extremely pleasant.

Cartagena is steeped in history and many sites to see.Or if you are not interested in history there is the alternatives of either shopping or taking a boat trip around the harbour. Lots of different restaurants to choose from and at good prices. It’s well maintained and very clean. I would highly recommend this trip to friends and family.

Went on the tourist bus which was a good introduction to the city, also the harbour boat trip which we really enjoyed.
Went around the Roman ampitheatre, a definite must for anyone with an interest in history. Walked around the city walls and round loads of back streets found some lovely little places to eat and drink, to us, better prices & quality than the main street.

Very modern and innovative hostel catering for everyone. Various zones for cooking, relaxing, exercising, laundry. Good wi-fi signal in our room. The old city walls were right outside our window which gives a great sense of history. All the Roman exhibitions and ruins are within a few minutes walk and really cheap entry prices. Even better if you get voucher for 4 sites, available at all the exhibitions. There are a lot of steps and steep slopes in Cartagena which you cannot avoid so be aware if you have mobility issues.
searched for a last minute hotel on a road trip and looked at the reviews for this hotel…. sounded fab so booked it and we were NOT disappointed! brilliant value for money. located in a side street but few steps de
Main Street with bars and attractions
staff all extremely helpful and
polite and free tea and coffee 24hrs which was fab.
breakfast was continental and optional but cheap.
shower gel/ shampoo and hairdryer also included….. great little find.
would definitely recommend for a short city break !!
So glad we booked this. Lovely independent hotel in city centre with exceptional service. Nice bed and good shower. Fridge full of free goodies and coffee machine with plenty of pods. Excellent security. Private parking for €12. Roof terrace with great views (shame about the loud piped pop music which drove us back to our room!). Super breakfast. Wish we could have stayed another night. Cartagena is a wonderful place to visit and the sites are so close to this property.
staff friendly and helpful, hotel and room very clean and modern. room had a tv ,fridge, good beds and shower with lots of hot water and towels. Air con in room good and could be set to be quiet through the night. Free car park an added bonus. Good value hotel. Bus into centre of Cartagena (no7) right outside hotel. decent regular service.
A fabulous hotel in a fantastic location- staff friendly with good breakfast.
Definitely the place to stay if you want to visit Cartagena
The parking is an added bonus just for the experience if taking your car in a lift , very tight parking spots though.
